Don't know if this is the correct term, but my back button, arrow thingy, doesn't seem to be working for question/answer. It's also refused to work on a hub just now. It seems to work fine everywhere else. Have tried refreshing the browser. Any comments?
@innerspin Are you saying the back button in your browser (Internet Explorer 9) isn't working properly? If so, we are unaware of any issues on the site that would interfere with basic browser functions.
Does the issue persist if you use a different browser like Firefox or Chrome?

I have that problem after I answer a question, and have had it for quite a while. I'm using Chrome.
It sounds like maybe you are not talking about the browser back button.
Can you explain the issue you are experiencing?
I tested and I think I see what you are talking about.
However, I don't see a case where a user would want to go back to the previous page.
What I mean by that is, posting a new comment results in different page content.
So if you go back, you are going to the cached and previously unanswered version of the page, which will no longer indicate the current state of the page (won't show the comment you just made) unless you manually refresh it.
After you post an answer, where are you trying to go by clicking back?
Maybe this reply was for Uninvited Writer? However, after answering a question, how are we supposed to go back to the main Questions page to continue reading from the point we left?
After refreshing my browser and clearing the cache, I could go from reading answers back to the main page. This worked twice, then failed again. It was useful to do. I may look into Firefox tomorrow, but would prefer to stay with Explorer. Thank you for your input here.
If you open the question in a new tab, then close it when done, the original tab with questions will still be open in your browser.
Hello, Matthew. My laptop won't download Chrome. Not sure why. The blue arrow top left corner has always taken me back to the main questions page from looking at a single question and answers until now. I'll look into Firefox, and read the link, thanks.
I have been having the Exact same problem over the last few days. About 50% of the time when trying to click on my Blue, back arrow, in IE9, it does not take me to the page I was viewing before. I have to hold down the mouse button until the menu of visited pages comes up & select the last one viewed from there. I don't know if anyone having this problem uses photobucket or not, but I noticed that this started happening right after I ran into to several trojans on photobucket which my Anti-Virus program identified & supposedly (hopefully) blocked.
Oh heck. Tried this with my husband to make sure I wasn't being completely dense. When I go in to look at a question, only one tab is available, far left. If I close that, I exit HP altogether. Blue arrow left not responding. I just want to exit looking at answers to a question, or leaving an answer myself, and return to the main question page where I left off. Have been able to do so previously with the back arrow.....tomorrow is another day. Thanks for trying to help.
Back button now working fine, as before. I'm not doing anything differently. Computers are not logical! Thanks for trying to help.

Just noticed that the facebook like button is not showing in Firefox, although it shows up fine in Chrome when I looked.

For the last several days if I wish to share a good hub from a HP author with my followers, it won't do it for some reason. Is anyone else having this problem?

What is the best and safest browser to use, Internet Explorer of Mozilla Firefox?
by Ben G 11 years ago
For anyone who upgraded to Windows 8.1, Internet Explorer 11 came with it and you may have noticed that you can enter links in your hubs through this browser. It still works in Firefox 25, but just a heads up!

While using Firefox, I'm trying to add my image to my profile. The image is uploaded, but the popup asking me to crop the image doesn't scroll with the page and can't be moved in the window. The result is that I cant crop my photo properly. (ie: I cant drag all the way to the bottom right of where...

For the last few days I have had a problem with the Maven search bar popping up at inappropriate times. I answer the question, submit the answer, and my answer is lost and I am taken to the Maven seach bar. This has happened so often that I have taken to copying my answers before submitting so that...
