Is writing about ways of hacking facebook legal in HB?

   I want to write a hub about facebook hacking guide, but i am not sure if it's okey with HP rules, Please help me.

      If law enforcement doesn't think it's legal, HubPages isn't going to either.
      
      Point 4 of the HubPages TOS (Prohibitions and Restrictions on Use) begins,
      
      "....As a Service User or Author, You may Not:  Publish Hubs or Hub or Author Content that include any content or links that are pornographic, defamatory, libelous, tortuous, vulgar, obscene, invasive of privacy, racially or ethnically objectionable, hateful, promotes or provides instructional information about illegal activities, promotes any act of cruelty to animals, or is otherwise offensive."

      I want to tell people how to break into their neighbors' homes. Do you think HubPages would have a problem with that? Duh.
      
      Aside from HubPages having a problem with your teaching people how to hack into other people's accounts, if you have a fb account, would you like other people hacking into it? I think you need to look about you for undetected magnets. Your moral compass is off.

      May I ask what your end goal is for posting a Hub of this type?
      
      If someone writes about something illegal, it can make them liable for those criminal acts committed. The first question you want to ask yourself is, "Is it legal to hack into FB accounts?" At last check, the answer was "no". Just as you wouldn't post a Hub explaining how to make a bomb, you shouldn't do one on hacking into FB accounts. As others have pointed out, it is against HubPages TOS.
      
      Think about it like this - if someone reads your Hub and follows your instructions to hack into your own FB account, would you be okay with those results? You've successfully taught someone how to hack into a FB account, but you're the one who is suffering for it.

      Why would you wish to write a hub on " how to hack FB?"  We already have enough issues with FB and certainly do not need that information shared across the Internet.

   No offense, but why in the world would you want to hack other people's FB pages? And, as a follow-up question, why in the world would you want to promote it by teaching other people how to do it? I don't think HP should be the one to consult about the rules...you would be honorable asking Facebook administrators what THEY think about your idea.

      I like that idea a lot. Telling people what to do or what not to do, without mentioning the word "hack", but the end goal being heightened security for your account.

         Yeah, People after knowing the ways about facebook hacking will be much aware about keeping it safe. Its like someone said nothing is good or bad, it just depends on how the people takes it.

            The risk is that your info will be interpreted as being malicious, which could result in a lifetime ban from HubPages or AdSense (or both).  My own experience and opinion is that losing one or both of those things would outweigh the benefits that could come from a single Hub, but you are free to decide for yourself and then see what happens should you choose to proceed.

      Actually, that is a good idea; the Hub would have all the same information but the tone would be "how not to get hacked". I've seen Hubs like that.

   Aside from the ethical replies already here, all of which I agree with, this is a moderation question. When hubbers have a moderation question, the place to put it is not the forum, but in an email to team@hubpages.com. I usually get a reply from moderators on uncertain issues within two business days.

   It's against Adsense's Terms of Service:
   
   "Placement of Google ads is not permitted on websites that promote any form of hacking or cracking. Hacking and cracking content is content that provides users with instructions or equipment that tampers with or provides illegal access to software, servers, or websites."
   
   If it goes against Adsense TOS, it goes against HubPages TOS. That's the general rule of thumb, because content on HubPages has to adhere to Adsense rules.

   I wouldn't go near HACKING at all.  Keep the information or knowledge you have figured out (if that is the case) and KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.  If you write a guide, it may be interpretted that you are TRAINING HACKERS.  That may be against not only Rules - but actual Law.

      Um, yeah, it is.  Hacking generally involves accessing private data and there are plenty of laws against it.

   Sounds good...why hack?  Don't personallly like facebook...I mean how can you RECRUIT friends?  Friends are people you love and trust...not just "pictures" and non-sensical conversation!  It takes a long time, usually, to find a true friend...or it could be a SPIRITUAL attraction...not a MOUSE CLICK attraction.  "A friend is a present you give yourself."  So what did you ask for for Christmas?
