do you feel that you are so good when talk bad things about atheist. understand yourself first, you have no rights to blame them when you dont realise god yet. if you do realise i BET you will never hate or blame them. you made atheist hate god at first, you are responsible for that. wait for the curse.

Atheists do not believe in god. Therefore we do not hate anyone.

There is no such thing. Simple. No hatred involved.

believe me there is no chance at all for them to be non believer, we are all believers. just for some they dont believe the method/way, it is a good thing indeed. there are only one way, by ourself with some guides, thats all.

No. We are not all believers. I do not believe in a personal god.

Absolutely right. Its the way God is projected by some people that gives birth to atheists.

Nope...They have as much right for their beliefs as we do ours....But....

Religions (yes Athiest is concidered a religion), doesn't mean anything...It's right there with denominations...Denominations doesn't mean a thing.....Both are just words, and really has nothing to do with Faith....

It seems very few of the believers can actually agree on God.  It would be great if there was a God everyone could believe in, but such is not the case.

On this site there are those who have interpreted Biblical scriptures to mean whatever they wish.  This is nothing new as the same has been done many times in the past.  Slavery became moral and ethical because of economic reasons during the Spanish exploration of the new world.

The pope rationalized it by saying these native people were better off as slaves being subjected to christian teachings than free savages.  What wonderfully insightful Christians we have had in our illustrious history.

It is ashame that people who call themselves "christians" or even just "believers in God" come to internet forums and post idiotic posts filled with misspellings and bad grammar.

I am a peace loving Christ follower, and I do not care if someone is an athiest. I am not going to preach to them, or condemn them.

Chukra G... maybe you should try showing love and compassion, just as Jesus taught. Who are you to shout about the pollution of peoples minds and speak of curses.

    1. Zabbella profile image75
Zabbellaposted 14 years agoin reply to this

I agree with wmd.  I don't hate athiests for what they believe/ or not believe.  What I do not like is that  they are trying to change things.  There are more believers (God comes with many names) in the world than non-believers, so why would they have so much weight in what they say?

      1. profile image0
sandra rinckposted 14 years agoin reply to this

So you don't believe in change? Or you don't want change?  You believe that the world is perfect just the way it is?  Or do you only support a change as long as it follows the flow of your beliefs?

So what if more people started to believe in Shiva as opposed to Christ?  Shiva is considered a goddess, has the same principals as Jesus, is a manifestation of the duality of good and evil, would this offend you?

So if believing in a god of any name, why does the atheist precept of no god seem troublesome to you?

-sorry if I misunderstood what you said here but this is  what I take from it.

      2. Mark Knowles profile image59

Because what we say makes sense?

So - you do not like people who try to change things. Oh dear - too bad. Education is available to many now. Bye bye BS belief in an invisible super being. Oh well..........

onthewritesideposted 14 years agoin reply to this

I'm personally not trying to change anything.  If people want to believe in Sky Fairies, let 'em.  I could really care less.  It does seem like an enormous waste of time and effort if you ask me though.  And yes, believers are still a vast majority, but there are 850,000,000+ non-believers world-wide, so please show us some respect.  Most of us would only ask that you keep your personal beliefs to yourselves.  It's one thing to try to explain your belief to someone who asks...it's an entirely different thing to just go around cramming your ideas down non-receptive throats.

Don't try to tell me that you all must be right because you are the "majority", and I promise I won't blast you with my belief that you all are suffering from one giant mass delusion.  And please don't threaten me with the tired old line that if I don't believe in a God, I'm going to go to Hell to live with Satan.  I don't believe in him either.  He's just another Sky Fairy to me.  You may as well tell me that if I don't believe in Santa Claus, then one of his flying reindeer is going to kick me about the head and shoulders for all eternity---it would have the same effect.

So if you really want to debate the whole God thing, why don't you do it among yourselves?  Maybe you could have a Catholics vs Protestant discussion?  At least those two factions have some common ground for debate.  As far as attempting to convert an Atheist...give it up.  Most of us are far too enlightened to fall into your archaic trappings.

I have read enough of Chukra G's writings that I believe I can translate for him (pardon me Chukra if I get it wrong)

Before translating, I would like to throw out a theory ... I think Chukra might be a foreigner who hasn't mastered English yet (if I have that part wrong, then I deeply apologize as I did not hop in to offend you), but he's willing to stand amongst the crowd to say something he feels is important to be heard.

Again, I hope I am translating this right ...

I think he is saying that atheists are not bad people in God's eyes. Just because they do not believe in God does not mean God will punish them. If they live good lives, they can still go to heaven.

Delving into it further, I think he is saying that Christians are wrong for judging atheists as it turns these atheists further away from God.

And finally, we all need to get along and accept one another for who we are and not for who we want each other to be.

I apologize in advance if any part of my translation is wrong. I just felt the message was being missed, and it sounded like an important one.

I see many people come to America and never trouble themselves with attempting to learn our language, so I am thankful for those who do as it shows a person who came to America to take part in our culture.

And if I ever went to Nigeria, I would do my best to learn the language if I intended to remain for any period of time. Why? For me language is culture, and taking part in another country's culture is an example of respect.

Interestingly enough ... much of the world does not speak English. We just find ourselves thinking it does as we are on an english speaking forum. smile
