Well I was re-reading through my hub that seems to be doing the best (My Double Chocolaty Chip Frappucinno recipe). And then I explored some more and stumbled upon HubPages Elements of a Stellar Hub article.
This is when I realized that my hub that is doing the best is not concise at all. I personalized it too much. My hub comes up 3rd or 4th when I Google search. I would like to edit that hub to make it very concise.- however, if I wrote the hub in a concise way, I'd be lucky to make it to a 500 word article. What should I do? Would I lose my rank on Google?
Some people might say that personalization could be why your particular Hub has made it all the way to 3rd or 4th.
In any case, it won't matter what you do because by saying exactly what Hub you have that is doing so well, you've pointed the unscrupulous content scrapers right at it, and soon there will be knock-offs on both this site and others.
Enjoy the traffic while it lasts.
I agree that your phrasing are a little more personal than that of your average product review. You can still personalize by giving your opinion or sharing your experience without sounding too conversational or informal.
If you're concerned about losing word count, maybe you can compare 2 frappucinnos.
By the by, nothing personal and no judgment but I was surprised that you say you "stumbled upon" criteria for stellar hub. I assumed that was part of the apprentice program. (??)

On a different account, somewhat "experimental" account, one of my Hubs is unfeatured. Generally my inclination was to unpublish it and move it or just delete it. But I kept it and put it in a Hub group. Meaning, if the Hubs before and after it get traffic, possibly the unfeatured one...

I'm still finding it difficult to comprehend why the article in the screenshot below is ranking better than the one on toughnickel. Is it that the main site (Hupbages) is not as worst as someone may think? Is it one of Google most loved sites? What can we attribute to such occurrence in the...

Is it possible that, even when a Hub is in Idle Status, it could still be found on the Web and get views and thereby come out of Idle Status? I ask this because I was searching the Web on a subject and accidentally found a Hub and when I checked the Hubber's profile, this particular Hub was not...

So, yesterday, I got an email saying one of my articles had been edited: a recipe that's been posted since 2017. I'm not sure it really needed editing, since most of what was done was superficial. I checked it over, hated about half of the changes, and edited the article to correct some of the...

How did you first discover hub-pages?

I suppose with the latest Google Panda update and all the low traffic we've been getting, I guess it's time to start writing more hubs. While I wasn't affected too badly by the update, I still want to increase my traffic and hit payout next month or the month after. I want to hit 80 hubs by the end...
