How Do You Feel When You Get A New Fan?

   For me I came on here cos I wanted to see if people actually like I'm writing. So the more people who actually read the stuff, the happier I am. For me, thats the reward.

      I feel the same way , except I dont really know if they read my hubs unless they say so..mind you , Im the same , read some , sadly forget to read some...life huh

      I feel much better when some one make comments on my hubs rather than only joining as a fan.The most important to me is how a person
      reacts with my thoughts.

      I came to hubpages to get my stuff read.  I am very happy to see a new fan, or a good comment.  I am more interested in my reads than my Adsense account.

      Well this is a huge deal for me, i have not met any hubber in person still feel like i know them. There is a connection through the fan base. Ok the truth is love them and more importantly when you get a comment from them on a hub it is an acknowledgement that hey we are around. I could have never known so many names online ever, this is my first community online and love it.

   although I have listed about 200 fans, there are very few actually comment on my hubs,,,,,, but I can never get to all the ones I have fanned either....
   
   Fiery is one of most loyal fans to date......

   Its nice to know. I always check out their profile to have an idea of who they are and leave some comments on their Hubs after reading a few. Its also nice when they leave comments on my Hub - very encouraging.

   When I get a new fan it feels really awesome, to know that someone likes my writing that much!
   
   However fans who leave fan mail and actually showed me they read my hubs mean a lot more to me then people who just fan. Leaving comments on a hub then fanning is the same way, very encouraging and it shows the took the time to read my work.

   I love love love love when I get a new (real)fan. I am beginning to be able to tell the real fans from the people who hope youll fan them back, or are just clicking stuff to get a higher score. Those people do not make me happy, but they dont bother me either. I hope they get what they are looking for.
   ALSO......I have become a fan of lots of people. I do not become a fan, unles I mean it. I do not post nearly as many comments as I want to. I read stuff, sometimes I am at a loss for words, sometimes its all been said, soemtimes my computer crashes. My point is, dont assume a fan means less just because they dont comment.

   I agree it is nice to have a comment on one's hub in connection to being a fan, but I also think if someone wants to disagree and rate you down, there should be a comment as to why so I might be better able to communicate my hub.

    makes me feel pretty darn good when i get a new fan!  means someone out there enjoys my writing.  will probably never make any money from it, but that's ok didn't really expect to, just having a great time meeting new people, reading their hubs and coming up with my own.

    I feel complimented while keeping in mind, too, that not all fans fan for "the right reasons".  Lots of times, though, you can tell which ones seem "genuine" and which have other motives.

    I'll tell you this...Fans are indeed great, but I find that comments are better, especially when the person encourages you to continue with your endeavors...Writers and creative people alike are so needy and so require feedback to fuel their impetus.

       I like comments when they are constructive.  If a person is going to be mad because they disagree, they don't have to leave a mean comment out of spite.  If a hub needs revision, that is one thing... but mean-ness is not necessary.

    I feel accomplished. When I sign on and see there are new fans, I say to myself...its finally happening! Kinda like one feel when they get something done. Slow process, but, I will get there one day
