How do you appeal or reverse Google Adsense TOS violation?

   So because HubPages listed the requirements to qualify for the revenue program as having "one published hub" I applied after posting two hubs and was denied by Adsense for lack of content and now Im stuck with an Adsense TOS violation (that is what it displays in my account section tab on Hubpages). I would not have applied if, as I read on the forums after the fact, that you should wait and apply with 10+ hubs.. So how do I go about reversing the Adsense TOS violation so that I can reapply when I have ten hubs or more? Any idea why Hubpages doesn't just explain that bit of information up front? Sure would save a lot of frustration.

      Just wait until you have 20 - 30 featured Hubs and then reapply to AdSense.

      AdSense and the HubPages Earnings Program (HEP) are separate, though an AdSense ID is a requirement for many of the HEP programs (specifically the HubPages Ad Program, the HubPages eBay Program, and the HubPages Amazon Program). Users only need a PayPal account and a tax form to qualify for HEP. However, an AdSense ID is required for many of the earnings programs covered by HEP.
      
      If you do not have an AdSense ID and are applying to AdSense for the first time, you should wait until you have 20 Hubs or so, as Writer Fox mentioned.

      Once you get a valid AdSense ID, you can then sign up for the HubPages Amazon Program, the HubPages eBay Program, and the HubPages Ad Program within HEP.

         Ok great, I'll probably have the 10+ hubs soon enough, but in the meantime which specific HEP functions without Adsense and I will get that going, thats a good idea Christy but I couldn't find the Adsense-free HEP you're referencing above?

            Christy is a staff member so she must know what she's talking about, but it's a mystery to me too - I've always understood you had to have Adsense to earn from the HP Earnings Program.  Otherwise the only thing you can do is sign up for your own Amazon account (and use your own code in the capsules).

         Christy, so you're saying there is some other component of the HEP which you can earn from without Adsense?  If so, what is it?  I can't see any other program besides HP Ads, HP eBay and HP Amazon - all of which require you to have Adsense.

            HEP is the payment mechanism we use to issue payments for the different programs under it. http://hubpages.com/faq/#hep-requirements
            
            Currently HEP members without AdSense are eligible to earn only from contests.

   Ok so even though my status says "Adsense TOS violation" all that means is that I did not have enough content? I do not need to take any other action within Google or Hubpages except to simply reapply when I have the 10-20 hubs? It's the "TOS violation" language that is confusing. If the solution is to simply wait to reapply then that seems simple enough. The link you posted explains the problem regarding lack of content but didn't term that a violation, so just to be clear then my Adsense TOS violation slug in my account tab for revenue sharing status simply really means lack of content?

      That's right.  Don't worry about the "TOS" wording.  Also, wait at least 30 days and have 20 - 30 featured Hubs before you apply again
      
      Or, if you want to speed things up, put a video on YouTube or start a free blog on blogger.com and apply with that content instead of HP.

   I agree that these days it is easier to qualify off site, but if you persist in applying here all you need to do is apply again to be reconsidered.

   I have 28 featured hubs. I have applied to AsSense twice and been rejected both time for: Insufficient contact. Go figure.

      Hmmm maybe they discriminate based on the content, which they argue is not discrimination it's because advertisers complain when their ads appear on religious content, political content, etc because people might interpret the ads as endorsement.

   Welcome to HubPages. I see that the two of you have been Hubpages members for 10 days and 12 days, respectively.
   
   I do not think AdSense does not like religious content, as they have religion-themed products and services that would be happy to advertise on your pages.
   
   I think the problem with both of you is that you have not been HubPages members long enough. AdSense wants you to first prove that not only do you have plenty of content, but that you also have staying power on the web. Wait 30-60 days, while continuing to publish content, and this may be your answer.
   
   Edit: I have just read that 120 days is probably better than 30-60.

   I also saw the 120 days recommendation. Another user said they joined, posted a hub, came back six months later and posted a couple more and got accepted right away, so yeah the time frame makes sense, thanks

      Adsense doesn't disclose its criteria in detail but I've come to exactly the same conclusion - length of time is definitely a factor, no matter how many Hubs you have.
