         It's the Amazon amount..I changed to HP Amazon and I guess this is the first time I actually made money from it..but why isn't it paid with the HP paypal check?

      The different programs pay on different cycles. So this may be what you are seeing.

         Ok, that must be it..it looks like the Amazon ads are behind the hubpages ads by a month.  It's kind of confusing.  I never noticed before because this is the first time I've made money since I switched over to the hubpages amazon ads rather than direct from Amazon.

         Yes, they do...it is because Amazon needs time to make adjustments for returns, etc.
         
         I too found this confusing until one of the team members referred me to a chart in the learning center that shows it very clearly.
