Sorry if this issue has already been raised but I have using a new computer with an ad blocker in the toolbar.  When looking over one of my Hubs I noticed no Amazon product capsules were displaying.  When I turned it off they re appeared.  Surely lots of people use these ad blockers now so we are losing out on sales.  The only way round it that I see (which is working for me) is to use my own Amazon associates account and create contextual links.  What does everyone else think?

Not all ad blocking software blocks the Amazon ads.

But overall, nearly every single mobile device user does use them.  And now more than half this site's traffic comes from mobile views.

I agree not all ad blocking software blocks Amazon but as ad blockers become more popular it should be taken into consideration.

It is true a large proportion of traffic is mobile, but from what I have read it converts far less well then desktop/non mobile traffic. So surely those who wish to generate revenue from a page must ensure that desktop users, above anyone else, must be able to see their Amazon capsules.

I just checked my Amazon account and can confirm all 16 sales this month from my blog were made from a Desktop and not mobile device.

I think that you should look at your browser settings to see if there is away to disable it (or maybe delete it if you do not want to use it again).

I am not too concerned about if I can or can't see them, I am thinking about visitors to my Hubs who cannot see and therefore purchase Amazons items via my affiliate capsules.

I believe that you should check to see whether it says something similar to,
        a) "so ads cannot be seen by user", or
        b) "so ads cannot be seen at all",
If it is close to 'b)' then you would want to disable it.

Most likely if viewers are using ad blocker, they're not likely to purchase an item off of an article content site anyway.  They're using it for a reason.  They don't want to see ads.

I guess I don't see why you are surprised that adblockers are blocking ads.
