In honor of Memorial day... but with a twist of fond memories

What was your all time favorite toy as a kid?

Mine was my first new 10 speed.... I still love biking.

I had this toy pop-up tree house with a family that lived inside, with all kinds of furniture.  I remember I really, really wanted it and finally got it for Christmas.  Can't imagine why I wanted it so bad...I hated playing with dolls.  hmm

I remember I wanted this toy so badly. It was a sort of large gun/flashlight thing that showed slides on the wall. I thought it was the greatest thing.

I had a plain wood box.  Inside was all plain wood nuts, bolts, screws and rods.  It was awesome.  Ah, the simple toys of the 60's and 70's. smile

I had endless fun with LEGO, especially when they introduced accessories like wheels and lights and stuff (this was the mid-60's).big_smile

Or if I go back even further, there was Tinkertoy, and Meccano...and model trains.

Oh, and those little plastic green army men were fun to blow up with firecrackers...(oh...you're such a meany!!) yikes

I'll second the tinker toys mention. I think that was the toy I played with the most, over the longest period of time.
