Hubpages Videos vs. YouTube Videos

   So I think I'm over my dry spell and plan to write some hubs again.  In fact, I plan to write a lot.  My question is about making a video hub against uploading videos onto YouTube.
   
   What is the advantage of making a video hub?  The one thing I hate about video hubs is that the videos autoplay.  When I come across articles like that on the net, I tend to close the window because I hate when videos autoplay.  But maybe I'm in the minority?
   
   Normally, I upload videos onto YouTube and just provide a link to my article in the description.  But should I be using a video hub instead?
   
   Please provide me with your thoughts.

      davidlivermore - I made a couple of videos which were hosted by HubPages on in some of my earlier hubs.  I had heard that you could earn more from uploading them to HubPages. but  no-one has confirmed this.  One huge disadvantage is that you cannot alter or remove a video without deleting the hub first.  It was for this reason that I went the YouTube route.  I have earned money on YouTube, not much it is true, but you get a lot of visitors from it. I think this was a best option..  The income earned there is added to one's  Ad-sense Account earnings.

         I think we may have mentioned this in the past as something we planned to implement, but currently the video ads on Hubs are not shared with authors.
         
         So, as @relache stated, using a non-video Hub and a video capsule for a 3rd party video site (YouTube, etc) will give you the most flexibility right now as a Video Hub cannot be converted to a non Video Hub and each Video Hub requires one HubPages hosted video to be published.

      What I have done is upload the video to YouTube, monetize it there and then upload to HP.  I can also use the same video on my blog if needed. More flexibility for me.

      Frankly, I can't see any advantages of a video Hub.   There have been a couple of Youtube geeks who joined HubPages and tried video Hubs vs Youtube, and they said Youtube won hands down. 
      
      The thing is, you can have the best of both worlds - upload the video on Youtube and then embed it in a Hub.  That way you get cross-promotion.  So why limit yourself to a video on HubPages alone?

         I agree Marisa. I also failed to mention the other disadvantage. When you create a video hub, the hub shows up in search NOT as an article but as a video. So if someone is not searching for a video on said subject then you may never get noticed. I don't know about anyone else but that has been my experience.
