Was reading the best vampire topic and it made me look at it again and well it just wasn't the same. For me I need a Movie that really gets inside my head and makes me relate to the Movie.

I have 2 favs, Peggy Sue Got Married and Muriels Wedding. I have already written about Peggy Sue and well it relates to a lot of my life, ya know what if you could change certain things plus I always need great music in a movie.

Muriels Wedding, well what an Aussie classic with the Abba music running throughout it as poor Muriel trys to change her life in what for me was the best comedy movie ever.

"Once Upon a Time in the West".  Sergio Leone is the best.  Dario Argento got the top writing credit.

I haven't seen many westerns that didn't bore me, but I loved "Once upon a time..."
Not many people would believe Henry Fonda could play such an evil villian.  Claudia Cardinale is/was a truly beautiful woman.  You don't see many chicks like her, nowadays.

Oh you deff dont and Fonda was amazing, it was such a long movie but when it was over you felt like it just flew by, I am a big movie buff and find a lot of current movies way overated so I savour a good old one. Another good one was The Shooter and as for current Movies I went to watch Push, jeeez what a load of cack !

The Godfather, Scarface, Goodfellas, Casino, Taxi Driver, Pulp Fiction, Evil Dead, Dracula, Snatch, In Bruges, Layer Cake, Sin City. There're many of them. They all speak to me in different ways. Small intelligible sounds in my mind. I write them down. I'm a madman.

Good Will Hunting is still one of my fav films. Do to the whole package...story, soundtrack, Matt Damon. The fact that it was written by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck ( first screenplay) Such a fresh and brilliant writing for the pair. I am very fond of Matt Damon as an actor. Still listen to the soundtrack.

Has anyone seen "Gangster No. 1"?  I liked it.  I also liked "A Clockwork Orange"... speaking of Malcolm McDowell.  That rape scene was pretty scary, too.

All the movies by Quentin Tarantino.

    Sidney Rayneposted 14 years ago

Hmmmm...I usually avoid this topic as well as anything dealing with religion or politics due to the complexity of the answer...but here is a shot.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas...probably best describes a movie I can relate to in terms of prior experiences....as well the book was amazing and the way Johnny Depp and Bencio Del Toro adapted the roles was stellar.

Halloween...I am a huge horror movie fan...this was one of the first horror movies I remember seeing when I was maybe 6 or 7 and to me still has the scariest moment in ANY horror movie to date. The scene where Jamie Lee Curtis discovers everyone in the house is dead and as she is upstairs looking around....behind her emerges Michael Myers undetected. That scene still makes me get up and shout "look behind you!!". Amazing...

The Last Samurai...To me this movie was epic...shows how two different cultures that were once fighting can be intertwined into the same belief once eyes and are hearts are clear and full.

The Devils Rejects...Surprisingly enough I chose a newer release in terms of horror movies as a favorite. I thoroughly enjoy Rob Zombie's work... It has a strange vivid scent of Americana about it. Very pastiche and comic book-esque with more than a hint of greasy carnivals, doughnuts and B-movie schlock about it. Taking elements of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and classic rock and spinning them into a timeless tale that has the ability to entertain and shock....the hunters become the hunted and yet you root for the bad guy in this movie.

The Godfather One and Two..Classic...I actually become excited when I hear that somebody has never seen this film....of course then I abduct them into my living room for a viewing after receiving this information.

The Dark Knight...as much as I hate to choose a newer movie as a favorite...I am fan of villains....and despite the array of publicity this movie received for Heath Ledger's death....I felt his character made this movie every bit the blockbuster it deserved to be. Gone are the days for the arch-nemesis which existed solely for monetary gain....a new villain emerged that is more prevalent in today's society...a villain that simply wanted to watch the world burn.
