I'm just curious if any of you have a problem with itching. I seem to itch in a few places, I have had a problem with jock itch, and it goes away and comes back. I have tried all the ointments and creams, but none of them make the itching go away, and I sometimes itch so bad I bleed.

The weirdest thing that seems to work the best for rashes is mouthwash. If you wash the itchy area just with mouthwash, and rinse and dry it well, the itching goes away, but it eventually comes back. My doctors told me to try different creams but none of them worked, and some of them made me itch more, and just seemed to make the itchy area bigger.

Does anyone know of any good cures for cronic itching?

I think they use hydroxyzine for itching with people that have casts.  Tolnaftate should clear that other stuff up, but sounds like you might need to go to the doctor.

What did your doctor said that you have? Treatment will depend on the diagnosis. Is it fungal? Bacterial? Allergic? Autoimmune? Or linked with other systemic diseases?

I found out I have polycystic kidney disease, and one of the side effects of that is itching, along with all the pain issues I am having. But, others say it is from too much moisture in my clothes from sweat.

If your doctor said it's polycystic kidney disease then you should get treated accordingly. He must have made the diagnosis after doing all the appropriate investigations.

Too much moisture mostly leads to fungal infection on skin. And the lesion for fungal infections are very peculiar. If you had fungal infection your doctor must have diagnosed it. Is there any change in the consistency on your skin? You can google and see what a fungal infection of skin looks like to compare.
