Today, I'm unable to pin from ToughNickel to Pinterest. I get that message about spam.

Got it.  I tried to pin as well and it was blocked.  What do you think my co-workers would think about that pin??  smile

I'm sure you're a joy to work with, Robin! They would not be able to relate in the least.

I had that problem too. They wouldn't let me pin anything. Maybe it's all the new niche sites.

Thank you for letting us know. I'll send it to Pinterest today. It usually takes a few days for them to fix it.

Pinterest have pretty strict spam filters and sometimes the wrong website gets caught by it. I think they penalise websites that don't have original content or don't attribute the source of the content.

Not that problem here, all my material and images are my own.

Ok then it's clearly a mistake on their part.

It's not a mistake, it's Pinterest protecting itself from spammers.

The whole idea of Pinterest is that people are supposed to be sharing things they think are special, things that they really like.

Unfortunately, writers too often think it's a place to plug their own work regardless of whether it's special or not.  Every time Pinterest gets flooded with pins from one particular site, they suspect that someone is trying to self-promote rather than use Pinterest for its true purpose, and they react by blocking that site. So it's not Pinterest who made the mistake, it's probably a few over-zealous Hubbers over-promoting themselves that are the culprits!

I suspect this is absolutely what is happening and sadly, those of us who don't over promote and use Pinterest get penalized for those who abuse the system.  I'm pretty sure this is why the niche sites were having issues as well.

I am now able to access my Pinterest Account. What a relief!
I was having DNS problem. In fact, they had advised me to configure alternate DNS Servers such as 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 long ago.
I wish I had paid attention to it earlier.
    You could try that too.
