There has been a lot of discussion about US politics and the refugee problem. I am just curious, what Canada is doing on this matter? How are they treating refugees from Syria and other parts oft he middle east? Does anyone know the answer how many refugees are they receiving?
It is easy to criticize... but doing something about it is another matter.

According to Your link, they work from within the country to keep it safe:

      1. The "National Terrorism Threat Level" is a report used by law enforcement agencies and govt. officials to determine how violent acts of terrorism in Canada can be prevented or mitigated.
"The Report provides useful background information regarding the threats that need to be confronted, and helps to inform national security consultations about how best to respond."

      2. The Committee of Parliamentarians has access to classified information to enable the accountability of national security agencies.

      3. Canadians make an effort to "counter the influences that draw people, especially young people, into  violent radicalization." They are launching a national office for research in order to mobilize, resource, detect and prevent tragedies before they occur in their communities.

      4. Canadian officials consult with their people regarding the national security framework in order to keep them safe. They aim to safeguard their values, rights, freedoms and democratic character.

      5. Canada allows only refugee families. Not refugee single men.

"Justin Trudeau’s decision to welcome 25,000 Syrian refugees to Canada before the end of the year has been widely welcomed by refugee advocates, but one aspect of his plan has drawn criticism: the widely reported decision to exclude single men from the resettlement program."

"Restricting the field to families would arguably be a pragmatic way of making the choice more straightforward for Canadian officials."

"Then there’s the security argument. Amid fears of the threat posed by Syrian refugees, perhaps Trudeau feels it would be easier to win over skeptics if the refugees he welcomes are parents with children. In the western id, the image of a doting father is much easier to swallow than one of a potentially disaffected youth."

Canada did well in taking in 250, 000.  Trudeau prune minster is afraid to answer Trumps calls for more cleaning up more America messes

My correction one too many zero

Canada is moving that number up to 39,000.

Syria has had 450,000 people killed and 1/2 of Syrian population displaced.

Trump said he going to bomb the sh_t of Muslims countries and take their oil. You would think Israel/US {fake Jews} revenge would stop at killing more Muslims than Hitler killed Jews in world war 2.

Imagine a superpower like China/Russia decided to kill 5 or 6 million invading Americans and displaced (1/2) 160 million of them. Would that be enough to nuke the entire world.

The whole world is watching and ready to pile on top of America. As long as they don't totally shut down cell phone broadcasting. I'll be watching the greatest freak show on earth on phone and eating popcorn.

You have to ask whose fault is it that Syria became this basket case? It was not Trump...

No, not possible, not one Syrian has killed an American on America soil.

Live and let live while give peace a chance.

Killing never stop killing, violence never stops violences. Christain countries are living proof of that with their road record far worst than Muslims countries.

You said that before, but declined to provide a shred of evidence for it.  Want to try again?

I google "refugees Canada" and the first result pretty much spells it out.

    http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/refugees/welcome/

The US with a population of 300 million has admitted 10,000
Canada with a population of 30 Million has admitted 4,000

I think they are pulling their weight, yes?

And that from less than 1 minute of research.

    1. wilderness profile image95

The US, with 35 people per sq km, has admitted 10,000.
Canada, with 4 people per sq km, has admitted 4,000.

How about pulling their weight and filling up that empty land before turning the US into one big anthill?

Point being that there is more to the matter than population numbers.

A majority of that "empty land" is uninhabitable thanks to climate and the Canadian Shield, so not quite as simple as you seem to think it is.

Yes, half of Canadain land mass is the Canadian shields, hard to farm there.

Impressed on how they farm Southern California, except river water was not design for triple that population.

If you can farm the oldest mountains granite rock that has not enough soil and frozen solid for 8 month of the year. You can have it, after America collapses, there will be plenty of hide and seekers area for the hunger games.

Granite mountains we can turn them into kitchen countertops and sell em to the french. Any local people living up there we can boot off granite mountain?  We evict like its nobodys business.

Granite counter top is the biggest business going from the shields, man those babies are heavy.

I can make cheaper concrete countertops close to the real thing and for much less to installed. Built eco houses from straw and clay most interior is made from concrete, hemp and wood.

Then put factories there and truck food in like every other city does.

But yes, it's not a simple matter of population OR land area.  That was the point - there is lots to consider.

I gave you two, you gave me none to prove other wise. Trump won't give you any solid reasons or evidence why. Other than he wants as many  muslim  back to their natives land. For this psychopath to bomb the sh_t out of them and to steal more oil or if not all if it.

Only solid reasoning is to be number in oil and to back toilet paper dollar.  Being no. 1 in prisoners, angels and war is not bad enough.

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about.  I am answering OPs question--the answer is "yes, Canada is doing their share".

If you gave me two (somethings?) I am unaware of what those somethings are.
