   The 'devil' looked from a limited perspective, is ugly. However, the devil is like the caterpillar evolving to be the eventual beautiful butterfly.

   It is my understanding, or my belief that the devil is not ugly at all, rather the opposite.  I feel that the devil would be rather good looking and luring in his charms. The devil makes you want to give in to the temptation that is sin. The devil would make you lust after him, because that’s all he wants… For you to sin for him.

      I think in the bible somewhere that it said the devil was god's most beautiful angel, so it stands to reason that he would also make wrong look beautiful and enticing to humans, too

   The devil is not ugly. That was man's interpretation of what they thought the devil looked like. Of course, had they taken the time to read the Bible, they would have found the truth of the matter...satan is beautiful, and not at all ugly.

   I have read NOWHERE that the physical appearance of Lucifer EVER changed! He was the most physically beautiful angel created by God. He still retains that visage! An angel of light was how he was described. If someone tells you otherwise demand they back that claim up with written verification from somewhere. Peace.

    The popular vision of the devil is based on deception, a slight of hand if you will.   The image of the devil that we see now was created when the early 'Christians' took the horns and cloven hooves of the Greek god, Pan; the red skin of the Egyptian deity, Set; and the trident from the Greek deity, Poseidon.  They combined these together, and VOILA!  The devil.

    Lucifer was indeed an angel in God's realm, and one of His earlier works. We derive the word "Lucky" from Lucifer's angelic name. As WakeUpCallMin. states, Lucifer had a particularly special place in God's creation, given not only physical beauty, but also a set of wonderful "pipes"--a voice to sing.
    
      Lucifer had access to God's Wisdom,and was allowed to walk in the most wonderful places of Heaven freely. But like men, Lucifer had an issue which separated him from his favor with God--his desire to be in control. As an angel, he was created to support God's Will. But Lucifer wanted a Will of his own, and jealously desired to deny men their free Will, suggesting to force men to worship God.
    
    God would have none of that. He cast Lucifer out of His presence, renaming him Satan to define his "desirous" nature. As a measure of His displeasure with an angel which had lost His favor, God made Satan into a snake--the icon of  "insinuation", aka deception. This is the manner by which Satan convinced Eve-suggesting that God Himself was a trickster- a type of aberrent psychological behavior-the tactic of a liar.
    I am ever amazed at God's literalness in everything He does...a snake's spine indeed looks like a series of connected "wishbones".

    This is interesting.  The Catholic church has long been a producer of drawings and paintings that depict Satan and his demons as grotesque beings with contorted animal/humanoid features.  If the opposite is true.  Namely that Satan is really beautiful to look at.  Doesn't that mean that the Church has been putting their followers in jeopardy. I mean who's looking out for beautiful devils and demons? Everyone expects them to show up as these grotesque animal/human things. Yes the devil is beautiful to look at and so are his demons.  This is the great deception along with the belief that the devil doesn't exist...MMMMmmwwwaaaaaahah..haaahhhaahahahahah.

    It has been related that Lucifer, AKA. Satan was Thee most beautiful of all of God's Angelic creations, and that he challenged God's supreme authority, pridefully seeing himself equal to God or as God. It is related that this is the reason he rebelled, because he wished to be thought of and seen as God.

    I don't think so. I think our internal hatred of sin makes us think the devil is ugly. I would like to think of him that way. Because I hate sin and hate all the outcomes of it.

    In his true nature Lucile's is described as perfect beauty however  Satan he is a shapeshifter and if he was to come to you to try and deceive you he would make himself look like a very beautiful woman and or an appealing friend so you would be trusting of him. I can't help but think that his appearance changed as he went from Lucifer to Satan but there is no truth to this. I envision his inner qualities being made manifest so others can see him from the inside out. Like his perversions would make him appear vulgar in his raw form but he probably doesn't take off his "makeup" too much..
