    Why do children Suffer?

With Cancer, and other illnesses and other things that children go through. I explain these things to myself and to others but I am curious what others think about it.

Children are human. Humans suffer. Therefore, children suffer.

In fact, children are more likely to suffer from human ailments than adults because of their underdeveloped immune systems.

What does this have to do with religion exactly? In nature, it is perfectly normal for children to suffer. The children who overcome that suffering survive to adulthood, it's that simple.

I was asked this question in a ladies conference I was holding at my home church. I hoped by asking this question to get more perspectives on it and hopefully help someone who may wonder. It seems as though it is very clear for you EdG as it is me, but its not that way for everyone. The women had come up with the one question they would ask GOD and this was one of the questions that was asked. Why do Children Suffer?

This is how I answered this question to the ladies at the seminar.

We live in a world were suffering comes to everyone. So children will also suffer. Bad things will happen. Its how a person handles sickness, and hardships in their life that will tell their story. I know with my son at birth he was in the hospital for 9 1/2 months. He demonstrated the power of God through his constantly beating the odds. Nurses came in to our room and would cry, because they had told me later that they knew he was a miracle. Another nurse told us that she didn't believe in miracles until she met my son. You see although these things can and will happen doesn't mean that we are hopeless because he gave us instructions on how to obtain what we need with healing, etc.Hold on to what God promises and he will bring us out victorious.

The bible says that all good things come from GOD. Thats were prayer and keeping our relationship with God manifests itself.

I should have added that to start with. Thank you for your perspective  EdG.

I suffered a lot as a child in various different ways. I use to blame everybody else, and for a long time i blamed the god i prayed to. As i got older and was more perceptive to others and what goes on around me i realized that it wasn't just always me that suffered. People suffer in various different degrees, but we all suffer. I see it as a part of life. Most definitely not one of our favorite parts of life, but very much a part of it. We suffer in one way or another from the time we are children to the time we are elderly and passing on. Seeing children suffer sadens ones heart because they are so young to deal with such things and have done nothign to deserve it. But what do any of us do to deserve suffering. We all suffer, and mostly its all undeserved, its a part of life. If you dont suffer and hurt you dont get some of thoes life lessons that mak you who you are. Everyones lessons are different, and some cruel, but its life.
