Why good people has to suffer a lot in his life?

If there is any God,why does he have to test a person and make him suffer even if he haven't done anything wrong in his life...

Bad people suffer too. They just don't like others to know it.
God gives us trials in order for us to be stronger. God wants us to
learn life's lessons and come out a better person. Some trials are very hard. Just pray to God and he will help you overcome it. God bless you.

First, I am sorry if you are someone you love is suffering, however, if you are, or if they are, it not all a bad thing.  Sometimes we do reap what we sow.  I have alot!  Ultimately, I love Jesus, so I may not always understand what is going on at the moment, but I trust HIM, therefore, I trust the word of God! John Chapter 1 reads- In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God,and the word was God.  So, you cannot say you trust God if you don't believe HIS word....he is the word made flesh...he spoke and it was and it is!  God doesn't test us to make us suffer.  He loves us.  Therefore, he test us and tries us that we make come forth as gold.  It is a refining fire,  that happens to strip off the me and put on the HIM.  Because ultimately, we he appears, the word says, we will be like HIM...Christlike.... These trials and tribulations, although, they do not feel good, are for our benefit.  Remember, our walk with Jesus is an upward walk.  We can give up, or we can carry on..... HE really wants you to carry on... and trust that He who has done a good work in you, will see it to the end.... he will complete the work that he has started in you.  And you have an expected end.   I hope I helped,  I have learned alot and love to share and help fellow christians ...may GOD bless and keep you..amen

Once you learn to accept and realize that what ever happens is supposed to happen things start getting better.

Think of it this way. Good Luck - Bad Luck - who knows. You never know what good or bad luck is when it happens. Just go with the flow, always do your best, be honest and try to make someone else happy every day.

You will be amazed at the results.

Good or Bad - everyone suffers in this life.  The Lord is not a respecter of person's, He makes it rain on both the Just and the Unjust without prejudice.

I heard it put this way on the radio tonight - that when we go through tough times it makes us behave the way we ought to behave all the time.  That is with an attitude of Prayer, Faith, Hope, and Love.

Look at all these folks who have suffered so much from this rash of tornado's sweeping the states.  The accounts of bravery, self-listlessness, integrity, and hope, is awe inspiring!

It's when we are struggling the most that we become the person God created us to be all the time.  I guess that's why the scriptures can say, "Rejoice in the Lord Always!"  Tough times, easy times, we always face both, but it's the tough times that define us.

God gives us trials and tribulations to test our faith, YES, but, BUT... He in no way makes us sick or harms us in such a way to teach us something. That's a lie and I don't know who started it! The Devil is responsible for that mess. If you trust God, TRULY, MADLY, and DEEPLY! You have nothing to worry about, even if you do get sick! He is with us all, it's our choice to acknowledge Him or push Him away. When Jesus died on the cross he not only died for our sins, but when he died God made it possible for us to heal ourselves as well as each other... And YES, even animals! I have done this. Once Jesus is in you, all is possible. Words are our tools. You speak life or death into anything and everything. People underestimate the power of words... Sorry I side tracked!

Bad things happen to bad and good people all the time. We can't blame God for it. By blaming God, you are saying you don't trust Him and you are pushing Him away.

You are making a huge, but typical thinking error.  Who says that this is the only life?  Where's the proof of that?  Sure, there's no proof of future lives - just like there is no proof that there isn't one.

This life is a proving ground for the next.  Be of good cheer, and fight the good fight, my friend.

That's just life, that's the way it is. Just like why is air invisible? Why is water wet? Why is fire hot? There are many things we don't understand that we just have to accept as reality. One of my favorites is, why is a chair called a chair instead of an automobile? We may never know.

We are all born innocent as a child. As we grew up, we will encounter many different things in life and learning about good and bad.

Then we will make a choice in our lives as whether we will be sticking to be good or turning to the dark side. There is a saying goes: It takes 3 years to learn how to be good and just a second to be bad.

This is a journey of life learning from the time when we are born. We are here in search of the Way to the Kingdom of Peace and Love. But this journey is tough and rough as we encounter many stages of our lives. As long as we know what is right and wrong and doing the right thing will eventually be rewarded.

It is the Karma and Merits that will reward you. This is the cycle of life as when you do bad things, it will come back to you again eventually.

The question is wrong, no one HAS to suffer. Good people are not selfish, so they feel more pain heaped on humanity by violent selfish mankind as well as our violent planet. It is not God that delivers pain, the ruler of this world is the Devil. Time not so distant when God will act against the wicked, the selfish, the huge ego's, it will turn around, the meek will inherit the Earth.

there is no god so lets get that straight. people suffer whether they are good or bad and it's just a part of life. it has nothing to do with some god testing their faith but rather it is humans being humans. good people don't suffer any more then bad people , it's just that good people draw more attention to their suffering.

Having done nothing wrong in this life, doesn't mean that one is entirely innocent.

Karma (living by the sword and then dying by the sword) need not be seen as bad. It is merely an opportunity to ask such powerful questions as you have, and to look inward to find an answer.

The great Nazarene teacher said that we need to give up our lives in order to gain everlasting life. Could this mean to give up "ego?" His statements of "turning the other cheek," and the need to be "born again," plus his condemnation of the "public" righteousness of others, seem to support this idea. An arrogant hoodlum in one life can thus find humility in another when bad things happen to them. "Why?!" Answer that, and the truth really will set you free.

A great amount of the bad that befalls “good” people they bring upon themselves unknowingly.
As an example; the main reason for famine is overpopulation, on both large and small scales. If a family can’t support 2 children they often have more rather than less. If a land can support hundreds there are most often thousands.
Another example is people who live in regions with very high crime. Almost all gang members come from religious families. There are very few drug cartel members who didn’t grow up in Christian families of one ilk or another. This is true whether you want to talk about street gangs or mafias.
Those same people will say the reason is poverty but that is a false belief.
China, for example, is almost entirely atheist and the crime rates in even the poorest regions of China are among the lowest.
South America has high crime even in the best areas and they are roughly 90% devote Catholics.
The biggest difference, and I have lived in both places, is that the Chinese don’t try to make, and don’t accept, excuses. If you ask a Chinese person why someone committed a crime they will say they are a bad person and should be punished severely. I have never heard a Chinese say they believe in forgiving without punishment suiting the severity of the crime, including death.
Ask that same question in Colombia and you will hear an endless stream of excuses.
But the sad fact is if you turn the other cheek the offender will pick your other pocket.
Mankind, as a whole, is going to go through a great time of dying. It is probably coming sooner than most will admit. We have collectively out smarted ourselves and have become too successful. In so doing we have exceeded the limits of our resources.
There are currently 7 Billion people on the planet, a planet that can support at most 4 Billion. We are slated to hit 9 Billion by 2030.
If one accepts that man is god and the words of religion were all written by man then you can say that it is an act of gods that we are in this position. Gods are, after all, a totally human concept.

I don't think that God has any think to do with the suffering that happens to a person. It all begin with ourselves and the way we use our minds. We control our actions, not anyone else... We are influence by others and then we go off our original thought. The mind is the root of us living a happier life and we need to teach ourselves how to use it to the full power that was given to us.

Life is just life. It might seem like some people never face hardships and others have them all the time but it's more a matter of perspective and privacy. Some people share all their follies with the world and others keep it away from the public eye. So it seems like they never have problems when they probably do. Things happen to everyone, good and bad. I don't think it's the will of God if your power goes out or you lose your job. Life is a culmination of human actions; faith exists to give you strength to get through the bad times.

This may seem hard to swallow, but this is the realization that was brought to my attention.  People who think they are good may really not be so good by the standards of the universe/God.  For instance, Vaisnava culture tell me that no ,eating, no intoxication, no gmbling, an no illicit sex (sex outside of marrage without the intention of creating children), respect for all living creatures, truthfulness, cleanliness, tolerance, charitable, gentleness etc are requirements for a person be be considered in the mode of goodness.

Now when it come what God is thinking when God test people, I do not know.  It is faith and trust that we have to demonstrate in whatever religion you follow. Ultimately everyone has to face their own karma.

As for myself, I am still working on the mode of goodness described by my Vaisnava friends.  I ive the best life that I can based on my ability and information obtained.  I let God determine who is good and who is not good.

I hope this meets you well.

My own opinion don't shoot me for it, but there really is no such thing as "good" people. Many may not agree, but just because you perform acts in good merit doesn't qualify you as a "good" person. If we're speaking in Biblical senses, even Jesus himself asked the people "Why do you call me good? There is none good, but God" If we're speaking in naturalistic forms of nature. How exactly did we even begin with the concept of having a good/evil nature? Then goes the finger pointing at God. If God is good why does he allow evil in this world? Or like your question, "Why does bad things happen to good people?" An Atheist can answer that question for you by saying "There is no God." A theist will probably answer "Because God is just and he can do what he wishes." Neither answer is enough for your question. I'm not playing both sides of the fence here. I'm a firm believer in Christ, but even our suffering holds no water compared to the suffering endured by Christ himself.

They are good in the present birth only. How we can know what they were in their previous births? Like Newton's law, every action begets equal and opposite reaction. What we sow, we reap is the proverb. Hence good will accrue if we have done good, evil  will haunt us if we have committed evil. It is not like the balance of accounts in banks and financial institutions. One has to undergo the results separately. Hence even good people undergo sufferings for their past actions and bad people enjoy prosperity and happiness which is also the result of their past.

What an education I just received from the wide array of answers. ALL voted up by the way, since each was enlightening. My two cents worth is I see many questions with your proposition. Firstly, this my view and is with expectations of disagreement. Next, I don't believe God is a he and I don't believe God is a she. I don't mean that as criticism when used in those contexts, only to convey my view on things. Next, I believe God is the sole creator. God gets all kudos and criticisms for what ever, with an exception - free will of conscious.

Then I ask, is good people determined by a specific point in life or the whole timeline? Is it a generality they are good? I've done some terrible things based on societal standards, yet I feel I am good and am discerned as good by many. So, is my suffering - Bipolar Type I, Diabetes Type II, past car crashes and the consequences, even though some were my fault some not, bankruptcy, and etc., really suffering or opportunity?

You have opened a wide door to many opportunities for hub articles. Thank you. And, I thank those who did comment! or vote on comments. What a learning experience this question is. Oh yeah, how is suffering related to pain?

    Nrjsh:

Your inquiry is one of the hallmark questions atheists use in defense of their lack of faith. For the Christian, suffering in this life is a test of faith. There is no particular reason why God allows suffering, and yes, I said allows suffering. Because in no way does God create suffering. One must understand that after man decided to rebel against God and His creation, the Devil really took a stronghold on Earth. He [Satan] had already been cast out of Heaven by God Himself and was given dominion over the Earth. I know that sounds like a radical claim, but it is, in essence, the primary focus of why there is evil and suffering in this world. God is still in ultimate control, however, but His final reign is yet to be. Suffering, in all its forms, is really just a form of Satan's continued rebellion against God and the crown of His creation, Man. That's about as simple as I can sum it up. Does such an answer alleviate the countless amount of pain experienced in this world? No. But as a believer, the pain and suffering of this world must be viewed as temporal. As C.S. Lewis once wrote: we [man] were not created for this world. Our home is ultimately with God. Blessings always on your journey we call life. It is NOT an easy task! But in the end, God wins!

In my opinion, this life that we live in  is like a school.  The test we experience comes to us to see if we have grown and are ready to move on. The reason for these test are because of our karma from the past. And until you pay your karma or past your test you will repeat the lesson over and over again, until you are enlightened and can then move on to the next test. Sometimes we suffer in this life because we were responsible for someone's suffering in another life and the circle has come back to you. Nothing goes unnoticed.

    Life is about constant elevation.

Good people suffer a lot in their lives. It is a common saying and observation. May be that good people never go for short cuts and  always follow the right path which is long and difficult. It is exactly like roses accompanied by thorns. If you believe in God, He tries to make his followers strong by always putting them in trials so that his followers may learn to come out of difficult situations. It enhances their self-confidence. But I am a believer that God pays you in some or different form. One must count one's blessings. If I am having a complaint, I must see if I am blessed with obedient children? If my children are intelligent? or do they care for family values? Is my spouse caring for me? Have I earned respect in the society? God gives in different forms.

It is given to good ones to test their faith and for bad one to have their personal self-realization. And all the challenges that comes our way are not given to us if we cannot able to overcome it. All things happen for a reason.

Good question, will try to keep it simply so you don't get fed up of reading. God does exist, all will know this, not all will be happy about that. this earth is not our home, it's the evil ones' at the moment, God allows this. Adam sinned, by the devil's scheming, he has never stopped  deceiving man. Man was made for God's pleasure, he owns us, we were made to enjoy God in paradise, Some residents were not happy about the status which God afforded us in the beginning, hence the rebels in heaven were ejected (satan and co) through the fall and our genetic link to Adam and Eve we are sinful (family traits) if you like to think of it that way. God is perfect, as such nothing imperfect can exist in his realm (which is spirit), God planned to redeem us, Jesus was his perfect answer to deal with satan and man's fall. Remember Jesus is God, as is the Holy Ghost, (three in one), putting it another way, the perfect being off of all creation put himself on a wooden cross and subjected himself to the worst behavior at treatment imaginable, he suffered  for us, he set the price, then paid it himself. Now we come to the moment of truth, what do you think we should do for him, just say thanks mate, it's almost as easy as that, and almost impossible for some people, you cannot 'half believe', I'm afraid it's all or nothing, satan's master stroke was to get us to believe he does not exist (satan that is). So if you don't want to end up sharing a bench with the evil one, let God change you, let him give you a new heart, and a new spirit, love God with all your heart and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself, in Jesus Christ "no one goes to the Father, except through the Son". Ask God in sincere prayer to show you the truth, admit you are a sinner and need saving by the blood of Jesus Christ. Glory be to God in Jesus through the Holy Spirit.Suffering is a two edged sword, through suffering willingly for God in Jesus we become free, remember God sees everything in every moment, and God has control in every moment, if he was not, the earth would not be in existence now.

One answer is that suffering brings us closer to God and God wants to keep his dear believers close to Him.

Apart from that, I think sometimes the suffering is created by us and we don't realise it. We can be proactive in changing the condition of our life. However, we must also remember there is only so much that is in our power. We can do the best we can and still not have things turn out the way we want them to.

Fortunately, struggle has an upside. People who are made to struggle in life usually take one of two paths-- they see themselves as a victim and take on patterns of destructive behavior, or they become smarter, stronger, and wiser than your average joe.

Suffering is not felt by good people only. Suffering is not caused, but eased by God. Suffering is caused by people when we feel that we have been slighted or ignored by God and succumb to the temptations of Satan. God does not turn on us and make us suffer, we tend turn against God and we make ouselves suffer.
God is always present in our lives, but we have to accept  his love unconditionally. Sometimes we allow ourselves to suffer for something that we did not do because we did not believe we were strong enough to do what we knew was right. God forgives us for these things because he doesn't want us to suffer. That is why he gave his son. We remember what it was that we did or did not do and knowing it was wrong in our personal belief system, we then make ouselves suffer. We must forgive ourselves as God does. That will begin to end the suffering.
