I think I have linked my adsense account to my hubs but as I see my impressions rising on this site they do not appear to be registering with my adsense account. When I do go to affiliate settings it does appear to be linked but I don't think it is. Is this normal? Please help.

Remember that not all impressions will register with Adsense. Hubpages serves up their own ads 40% of the time, so you will never see more than 60% of impressions.

Create a url channel for hubpages.com and watch the impressions. Note there is no "www". If you don't see any under this channel, and HP shows some, then you did not link them properly.

Sounds ok so far. However regardless if people click my ad's or not shouldn't AdSense recognise that people are visiting these pages? Also one problem with google Analytics that I am trying to start up, every time i try and enter the url i wish to track ie http://hubpages.com/hub/Macbeth-Essay it says that the http:// is an invalid format, how are others able to link their hubs to this?

No ones talking about clicks. lrohner is saying that only 60% of your views will be contributed an Adsense impression.

If an appropriate ad isn't found then it'll be a public service ad and that won't count at all.

According to hub pages 24 people have seen one of my hubs, 60% of 24 is not 1 so I think I am still missing something. So of those 24 views most must not have had the adsense ad's am i correct in saying?

There may also be difference in the time frame for reporting. Check back in a couple of days and see if the figures are still out and then send the HubPages team an email.

Analytics wants this: http://hubpages.com/profile/Carlos+Santo , not a specific hub page. However, I am curious about your HubPages name because is appears to have an embedded space.

Since a URL cannot have an embedded space, the HubPages software replaced it with a "+" symbol.

If I were you I'd pay close attention to any potential problems that you see with HubPages, Google Analytics, or AdSense. A red flag for programmers is an embedded space in a symbol name; most systems eventually get tripped by embedded spaces. I may be wrong, but if you see anything out of the ordinary, the space may be part of the problem.

I'm reasonably sure a valid URL can't have a "+" symbol in it. This may be a problem for you in the future. It's not your fault and I can't say for sure you will see problems, but forewarned is forearmed.

Actually, for Analytics I just use http://hubpages.com. I originally had my profile page in there as you suggest above, but it was only tracking my profile page. With just the hubpages domain, it's tracking all of my pages including my profile.

Actually, you can use a specific hub page if the "+" is giving you a problem in getting your Analytics ID. It really doesn't matter as long as they give you an ID, and you enter your ID in affiliate settings; Hubpages will take care of the rest and make sure every hub in your account has the right Analytics code embedded.

How do you embed an Analytics code in a Hub? I never figured that out.

Hey-hey, we might talk about different things. Are we talking adsense reporting or google analytics?

Well i'd like to know about both to be honest. On one hand I am confused as why it says that 50 people have viewed my hubs but adsense has not recognised these views.

Well, we'll have to go one by one, cause they are completely different. smile

Do you see any HP impressions (page views) in Adsense?

    1 means one page view?

You just go to affiliate settings, and paste it there smile
