   I like to listen to the foo fighters, dave matthews band, marilyn manson, audioslave. Music that either has meaningful lyrics, or that I can sing to. Newsboys, Kutless, and Casting Crowns are good positive bands.

   The trouble is that folk who are feeling down don't want to put on happy music because it doesn't match the way you're feeling.
   
   So you want something that bridges between feeling down and lifts you up gradually as you go along.
