I am confused about marriage, can you help?
I am a Christian, well, a growing Christian. I still have to work on a few aspects of my life. Anyways, I met a guy, who I am bestfriends with& love him .In the begining of our relationship, we had sex. I knew it was wrong but I let my flesh take over. I had a talk with him, & I told him I wanted to wait till marriage. Well, 7months later, I slipped up again... Then I began to look into marriage. Eveyrthing to me anymore has been corrupted by satan and I am not sure what is the right way to actually get married or if proclaiming our love to God is enough to be married in his eyes. PLEASE HELP!
Marriage is a piece of paper. Most people get married to justify things or because of spousal laws that come with marriage. If you love him and he loves you, you can consider marriage, but for some people, marriage just isn't for them. As for God, he forgives all sins, even if it is a repeated sin.
You are enough for God, no matter what. Since you are a child of God - forget the satan stuff. If you believe that satan is in the world, which I don't, (I believe that Jesus overcame the embodiment of evil in the world) you are giving him more power by attributing things to him. First of all, people choose to do evil and bring evil into their lives. True love is not evil, if it causes good, and doesn't hurt anyone. The marriage ceremony is a very modern thing, so however you want to consecrate your union is your business. I got married because I like tradition, I wanted to please my parents, and I wanted to be married when I had children. But that is me, and everyone has to make their own choice. Give God credit for understanding and loving you, and try to love yourself enough, no matter what you decide.
Have a talk. Take a break from him (for a week or so). If you still miss him, then enter into a married life. I can't comment about religion.
Almost everyone of us has come into this world through sex. So don't worry about Satan.

From perhaps every human perspective, advice on issues about marriage tend to have the undertone of endurance... like it's just a neccessary 'evil' we all should pass through. Of course I know many people don't stay married for long but I think many hoped to. And the emphasis on the negatives seem...
