How does Muhammad contradict What Jesus taught 600 years before him?

It would be a wise idea to examine Muhammad's actions in light of Jesus' moral teachings. If Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, went against the established moral teachings of Christ that future generations under the new covenant must follow, then both the Christians and the Muslims ought to take that into consideration. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 5:7, with respect to how the future generations must act, "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." Jesus says that a follower of God must be a merciful person under Christ's new law - which the future generations were to look to. It i

It is important to note that Old Testament prophets were sometimes ordered by our great God to not show any mercy when carrying out God's orders. However, this was before the Messiah came and established his peaceful teaching and new covenant. No more are the followers of God to not show mercy. As Jesus Christ, the prince of peace of Isaiah 9:6, brought the new teaching of love and harmony for mankind, that is to be followed from now on.

"This I command you, that you love one another." John 15:17

"If, however, you are fulfilling the royal law according to the Scripture, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF," you are doing well." James 2:8

"In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets." Matthew 7:12

"But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness." 1 Timothy 6:11

"Be at peace with each other." Mark 9:50

"But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence;" 1 Peter 3:15

"Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble." 1 Peter 3:8

"Dear friends, let us love one another." 1 John 4:7
Under the new covenant, followers of God have been given a new universal moral law.
The actions of the great Old Testament prophets that Muslims often condemn do not make them guilty of breaking Jesus teachings, as many of Jesus commands are first century commands specifically meant for the new covenant peoples. Although the prophets of old were under a moral system, they were not yet subject to many of Christ's specific new covenant commands. Thus when they carried out God's will not showing mercy in some situations, they are not to be questioned, as back then they were doing the will of Almighty God.
So has Islam forgot about what Jesus taught since Muhammad came? Where's love, where's mercy?
I'll stick with Jesus who was here 600 years before Muhammad! Muhammad is no replacement for Jesus!

Then of course we have the conversion to Christianity of the Roman Emperor Constantine, the creation of the Roman Catholic Church and the Mercy of Christ’s teaching went global.

We have the mercy shown to the entire European Pagan’s, how about the mercy of the Crusades and then there’s the mercy of the Spanish Inquisition. Oh yes..let’s not forget all the mercy the Christians took with them across the Atlantic to the natives they found there.   How about slavery, which God do you thing the captains and crew prayed to in times of peril on the seas.

Yep, for two thousand years the Christians have done a great job practising the teachings of their great Messiah now we have the Muslim’s playing catch up.

Between the three major world religions you sure have made the World a happier and safer place with all your messages of peace and love !!!!

You should all bow down to John Lennon.... At least he meant it when he said “Give Peace a Chance.”

Jesus Christ being God on earth specifically said.

Mat 17:5      While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Luk 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

Mar 16:15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

So unless Muhammad spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he was only serving himself, and not pleasing God.

When Jesus Christ comes there will be destruction, and the destruction will consist of all Religions. God hates religion.

Islamic scripture asserts that Allah has no children, because He does not share His glory. The Bible, however, identifies Christ as God's Son in the flesh and all men as God's children in a spiritual sense. Jesus also taught that He was not just a prophet, but the Savior and Redeemer, and that we can only receive atonement through Him. Muhammad taught that Jesus was just a prophet, like Moses and Abraham.

      Jesus wasn't 'just' a Prophet.

Jesus Christ IS the only way to eternal salvation. Muhammad is or was a mere man who was trying to please himself and build his empire. He attempted to contradict the word of God, which one can not contradict or add to or take away from. There are many who hate God and Christianity, some do so because they were hurt by Christians, yes hurt by some. We are people and we male mistakes, but Christ IS perfect. People should remember that.

Muhammad, Is the last True Prophet, in the Chain of the True Prophets of God ... Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon all the Prophets, combined..

According to stated of Prophet Muhammad, Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon him ...  The number of True Prophets of God, is 1,25,000 ... a few more, or a few less than the number..

None of these True Prophets of God, ever, Contradicted the other Bearer's stated, of The Word of God ...

It is nothing, but sheer Calumny, a blatant lie ... if someone alleges, that Prophet Muhammad, ever Contradicted Prophet, Jesus: the Christ, son of Blessed Mary ... or the Prophets, Abraham, or Moses, or Noah, or any other Prophet of God. Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon them all, Combined.

Yes, Liken to all the Prophets of Allah's doings, Muhammad, Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon him ... Always, Invariably Contradicted Fallacy, and Heresy, concocted by wayward clergy, and the Enemies of God, presenting the concocted to  People, as the word of God.

... honestly, I do not know. I have not studied what Muhammed has to say. I have no idea If one contradicted the other. However, I would at this point follow Jesus Christ as that I have studied
