Tell me: Do you ever think about the possibility of your words (as written on HubPages, here,...
and whatever other websites you write on) surviving hundreds and thousands of years from now and being read by, and perhaps even educating or inspiring others? Do you ever think about that? If so, what do you think about that?
Words are everything.. It is the nuance that causes problems.
When we pass its the memory of who we were that is left behind. For me to put down what I have learned, my feelings and anything else I can think of is just my way of leaving a little piece of me behind when I go.
Yes, you could say that I have thought of it, a lot. I can only hope that even a hundred years from now, a small section of me is still around.
Very interesting! Consider this. A hundred years from now the technology will certainly be common that will take words and process them into a visual pictoral motion picture. Is it really far fetched?
Imagine a simple program that will identify, read and arbitrarily process an article on Chinese spoon musicians into a movie in an instant and all without Hollywood and the huge expense for actors and production.
Kind of makes you think twice about publishing an article about something personal and intimate.
No, at most, our words will last only until whatever website they are posted on is
a) abandoned
b) taken down
c) out of server space
d) hacked
Then they will be lost forever. Furthermore, most of the stuff written here (especially mine) is not professional-grade. I'm just saying... if we were pros, we'd probably be published somewhere, instead of hacking away on these sites...
No..not really. I do it because I enjoy the interaction, the communication between people, albeit on cyberspace. It is a great place to read the thoughts of others on topics that they are fond of. It is a great place to see the talents of different people and if only for a few moments, admire them.
I often thought about that. It inspires me to write even more. The problem though is that so many of our Hubs will be out of date years from now. This world is changing quickly.
Think about if we die suddenly and our Adsense just keeps earning and earning. Weird. I guess books still keeping bringing in money too.
I ma more worried that hundred or thousands of years from now they will watch our television and think we were like the characters on TV than actaully red what we wrote on the Hubpages.

I'd like to hear HubLand's opinion about the "god of the gaps"."But a careful reading of older texts, particularly those concerned with the universe itself, shows that the authors invoke divinity only when they reach the boundaries of their understanding. They appeal to a higher...
