    Honestly, I feel it is a confidence issue. The women or woman feels that she can't do any better due to whatever life circumstances may have occurred in her past. It's really up to the woman to decide she no longer wants that in her life and grow the confidence that she is beautiful and deserving of better.

    Probably for the same reasons that men let the women they are with disrespect them, it's a two way street, don't try to pretend otherwise.

    Low self-esteem and in other instances some women want their men to "put them in their place". They mistake kindness for weakness or see "nice guys" as being weak.
    This explains why some women are attracted to thugs, gangsters and their like. No woman in her right mind dates those types of men expecting them to be considerate.
    The important thing to remember is WE all choose OUR own friends, lovers, and spouses.
    If you want an apple but buy an onion whose fault is that? Hopefully with experience comes wisdom which would help these women choose better partners in the future.
