My kids usually wake me up (they are early risers), so first I say good morning and then I tell then that I love them so much!

The first things I do in the morning is pray. I always begin my day with prayer, thanking God for a new day and asking for the strength and courage to face whatever I need to for a new day.

Put eye drops in my eyes so I can get them open.  I have chronic dry eye.

Then pee, then make coffee, turn on the TV to watch the news, have two pain killers with my coffee, make another coffee, have two more pain killers then check my e-mail and update my news website and my other websites.  By then the pain killers are kicking in and I can move about without too much pain.  Try to remember to stretch and exercise a bit.  I'm definitely beyond the end of the body warranty.

Make breakfast for my husband before he goes to work -> let the dog out -> light a fire in the wood furnace -> put coffee on -> my son is usually ready to get up shortly thereafter, and we have breakfast!

The first thing I do is say a prayer; have a chat with God, thank him for the gift of another day and tell him how grateful I am for all the blessing he has poured on me, and will continue pouring on me. Ask him to give me the grace to face the day and the opportunity to be a blessing to someone else.

Then I'm ready to face the world!
