If you could go back in time and change  only one thing in your life, what would it be?

I would go back and spend more time with my grandfather. He passed before I really began to know him.

But ah, for what I get now is a struggle, I enjoyed and been grateful for all the bad times and good times that I've been through...thank you God

I would have never dated a certain girl and ran the other direction. It's amazing the influence one relationship can have on your life. Better or for worse...

i would go back to the day my father died. i was only 9 when he passed away and i wasn't there coz my mother didn't want us to see him that way. they say my father didn't have the will to live anymore and through the years i keep thinking that if i was there i might have made a diffence, that maybe when he'd seen me he'd want to fight more to see me grow up. that's what i want to change. it's pretty tough growing up without a father.

There is nothing which i wanna change from my past accept one.
I would go back to the day when my GRANDMOTHER {My mom's mom} died.i wasn't there at that time.I wanted to HUG her tightly.I wanted to tell her that I LOVE her alot & will always be.
"The bitterest tears shed over graves are
                                      for WORDS Left Unsaid
                                     and DEEDS Left Undone"

But you should "Love Your Life For The Ones You Love".

you should "Love Your Life For Everything You Already Have".

    as my parents taught me...

If I could go back in time and change only one thing I would "stay on at school" like my parents recommended rather than having to "go back" to school as an adult after coming to the realization that they were correct after all!  Such a shame us humans need to make our own mistakes rather than be told.

Ah...does it have to be ONE thing I could change. It's like I always say, "I wish I had a delete button for life's hiccups".
Since I have to choose one, it would be not allowing ignorance and man's dogma of "right" and "wrong" to sway me from my true passion of drama and writing. I have been raised to follow an assembly line of routine and then one day(mid life crisis) I said "NO". But I said it with anger and made many mistakes.

So, please can we have a delete button?

I thought I had an answer just now, but when I clicked the comment button I changed my mind. Now I am thinking of that James Belushi movie - Mr. Destiny. If I could change one thing in my life and it not affect dramatically my life it would be not to smoke pot or cigarettes. But, anything would have changed the chain of events, and I am happy today, so really I am not sure. What a question producing way too many thoughts - way to go - LOL smile

A very nice boy from my elementary school got killed in a house robbery along with his mother and a dog. I would make sure they survived that day.

I would have fully applied myself in high school so I didn't lose my chance at a college scholarship. The added benefit of this would be I wouldn't have left high school in the bad health that I did.

I guess this answer may not be in the spirit of the question but to be honest I wouldn't want to go back and change a thing.

    Why?

Well, I believe we map out our lives before we incarnate and live basically the lives we have chosen for ourselves. Through living that life we experience the lessons we need to in order to grow and develop on a spirit level. Those lessons may be hard or easy but each one provides something positive through which we grow.

Hopefully this answer hasn't been too heavy lol! I'm a very down to earth guy really!

I would have spent more time with my father before he passed.

Or maybe I would've stopped after the second milkshake that one time.

I think I would change my first kiss.  I liked the boy but he betrayed me. I would have preferred to wait for real love.

If I could go back in time I would go to the year 1997 , when I was seventeen. I would tell my father that I loved him, I would hug and kiss him more. I would laugh with his jokes instead of saying that they were silly. I would sit by his side and just remain silent, looking at his face. I suppose that by that time I was a typical adolescent , worring only about myself, my friends and about what makeup was better to use and I NEVER EVER imagined that in a blink of an eye he would leave me and meet god. Now that I grew up I regret not having told him that I loved him, loved him , loved him.Because honestly, I donĀ“t know if he knew that. Sorry about my english, I hope you understand.

As a teenager I would have been nicer to my mother. I said things to her I wish I hadn't and I  feel responsible that she never remarried after my father past away. She was a widow for 40 years. She past away last December and I miss her.

We emailed each other most days but I have always felt bad about the way I spoke with her when I was young.

Everything in my life, from the mistakes to the right decisions (if there are any) have led me to my life with my children. Every bad thing that happened helps me to help others. Every good thing allows me to be thankful. I wouldn't change a thing, even the bad that I had happen or did. Life brings answers to questions we didn't even know we had so that we can answer our children's questions that they don't know they have yet. Anyone that brings something to us does so for a reason. Awesome question.
