Luxury can mean so many different things.  I just wrote a hub on Voluntary Simplicity, and it goes into that gray area of "what do we really need."  Living the lifestyle that I do, I don't think of luxury as something expensive or extravagant, but rather things that we don't really need / want and can do without.  Not saying that luxury isn't a good thing - and a balanced life is always better than an extreme life.  But for me, luxury is anything that I lavish upon myself while fully aware that, in reality, I don't really need it smile

For example, right now I'm eating chocolate cake ... definitely a luxury - but something I love doing frequently wink

The vision that GOD shown me of the other side of death on August 1, 1982 A.D. a Sunday morning and I get to live on the earth with total recall of it as I live my life on the earth before I die and crossover to the other side of death.

Anything I want, but cannot afford.  Somedays toilet paper is a luxury in my house.

Sitting in front of a roaring fire in the dead of winter with a really good book or scary movie on the tv! This is wonderful as long as I have the place to myself.

Luxory to me is having something or taking part in an experience that is an extravagance by your own personal standard of living.  What is a luxury for one is not necesarily a luxury for another.

You'd be surprised. Eating healthy is a luxury because i can't bring myself to master that habit. excercising is another luxury being younger and being able to live free and worry less is a luxury. all these are things that are difficult to actually do. Thinking is easy.
