What are some issues that you would like to see improved upon/ changed after the upcoming election?
These issues could include those relating to society, education, the individual- anything! Just interested to see what people think should be improved upon after the 2012 presidential election (whether the office changes hands or not.)
I would really like to see space become more of an issue. We could boost our economy so much in the next 20 years if we just made space a priority. So many industries could be created and workers hired.
A change that I would like to see is in education. The concentration of the government on English and math standards is killing education.
Many children now see school as boring because they are constantly bombarded with test for English and math scores under no-child left behind.
As schools chase scores other subjects such as science, history, geography, and craft skills like wood work, home economics, metal work and such are dropped by the wayside.
Allowing more fun classes does not mean letting standards fall. The other classes do require math and English skills, but teach those skills in a less formal way, allowiing fun to return to the classroom.
For instance has anyone ever tried to follow a recipe for baking a cake and not used math to measure the ingredients and/or English to read the method?
I want members of Congress from both political parties to wake up to reality and try to get something productive done. Both sides have no choice but to make compromises, so get on with it already.

I would love to see space made an American priority. It saddens me that the program is no longer what it once was. Hopefully, we'll see improvements to that sometime soon. I wouldn't mind working in the space industry at all!
And I agree, Bretsuki. Our children are absolutely not prepared for their futures. It seems that once they leave the public school systems and head for college, they're completely out of their element. Obviously, our schools need to be improved upon, and quickly.
Ha ha, Freeway Flyer! Such animosity kills productivity, as we've clearly seen over the past few years. Congress is supposed to be a unified team, but somehow human nature has completely obliterated that ideal as well.
Midianite, interesting response. Although I cannot see that happening in the foreseeable future
I personally would like to see California revive itself, the war in the Middle East ended for good, and a better system put into effect that enables homeless people to live safely and find work. I think that would be great!

Will you vote in the 2012 presidential elections?I always vote, though I often feel that I have to choose between inadequate parties. So the question. Will you vote or will you abstain from voting in November?

Who do you feel will win the 2012 Presidential election?I want to make it clear that this isn't necessarily the same thing as who you want to win. I am more curious who you feel will win and why you feel they will win.
