Do you ever find yourself unable to finish an article due to lack of ambition? If so...

If so, what are some ways you've overcome that?

All the time, I have 5 right now I need to go back and edit and instead just want to write about something new, I am thinking I need to devote a certain segment of my day to the task of editing and make myself just do it.

Try doing some reading on the topic.  It might make you feel motivated to write again.

Yeah, sometimes I get tired and my creativity decreases a bit, so I just have to click on the "save unpublished" button. But I find that whenever I write about things that I am passionate about I just type and type and get really excited about the topic. Do some research on the topic so it becomes easier to finish it. Good Luck!

Thanks for asking. I never have a problem with lack of ambition. I have always been extremely ambitious and hard working and I don't get tired easily. When I was a kid my teacher called me Dynamo.

I find it harder to start writing. Once I get going I'm fine. It's finding the correct beginning that I find difficult.

In my case articles for hubs inevitably are poems about love and romance. I can't publish it unless I have developed and written it fully. It is not lack of ambition. There will always be articles, and hubs and poetry, or hubs about anything we like. We are free to write about many things. I saw a baby smile today, I saw a dog bark at a leaf, I saw my partner smile at me and told me I was so loved...and I am loved by so many people...I can never run out of things to wonder about or talk about or smile or cry about...

I think about what I have and how lucky I am and I write about those feelings. There is never "nothing" to write about. If you mean take a break from something, it's okay to do that, there does not have to be just one way to do one thing...

Some times creativity disappears for a while and you tend to get bored. Just take a small nap and youll be refreshed. Trust me. It helps.

    1. Save unpublished.
    2. Take a day or two off.
    3. Make sure that whenever you log in to HubPages you look at your "my account" page.  One day you will get tired of seeing the title of that article in red and want to revisit it.
    4. Whenever you revisit it, read it from beginning to end.  This will most likely get you interested again.
