Why is hubpages continuing to change features that were fine to begin with?
They removed your followers numbers to a green tab instead of leaving it alone where it was before.
I don't like that change either! I think it would be better to limit the changes.
I totally agree with you A.A.Zavala, it seem that your not the only one who has problem with this. everyone else too! I hate the summary thing...I have to go back and write all my summary to all the hubs I published? wow...lots of work, but the good thing is I can go back and make few changes of my mistake. I caught a few after re-looking!
I agree, Augustine..it's irksome to have to write "summaries" on all of my hubs..who has that kind of time? Another thing to satisfy google, i guess. Another writer thinks this is a good thing as we are the author of our hub descriptions rather than the opening lines..makes sense but, oh, how I do not look forward to re-introducing all my work; most of which I've forgotten about! Oh well...Opening lines are what google will use in searches...so if someone wishes to read about animals, for instance, but hub takes an entire paragraph before actually mentioning the word 'animals,' then, our hub gets lost in the dust...or so I'm told...makes sense but still a pain in the dierrier.
Or maybe they could just say... Hey.. were are making these changes and you can expect to see....
Kathy, I KNOW! I like some of the new features that were added, like this status page update page. However, the notification system was made worse. Before, we could get notifications when authors responded. Now, we have to choose to unfollow the hub. Why can't we have both options if we choose? And what is up with the notifications regarding hubbers you follow? Before, all the entries were grouped by author and was in alphabetical order. Now, it's just listed in list form in tiny print. I hate it.
Attention Hubpages staff. I have a novel idea. How about asking the writers that use this website what features they would like to see and use?
We standardize the code across all the follow scenarios which makes some technical things better. We are still tuning the aesthetics.

We are always reading the forums, taking feedback and working behind the scenes. Sometimes Google prefers that we keep some information private if they plan on making a formal announcement. We are expecting an announcement from Google this week, but it may slip till next. We...

Looks like Google made another algo change earlier this week. My traffic rose about 25% on my main HP account around this time, so I'm guessing the update was the cause. My traffic is still low by historical standards (down by more than a third from the start of the year), but I...

I know there have been a lot of changes and I really appreciate that. I also am looking forward to the new hub layout...but...with disappointment. In any business, one must first make their assessment about what works and what doesn't. The things that don't work, you either fix them or get rid of...
