I think life is just a word in wich peoples learn, build, discover... and if you look a wider picture you will see that we (as group of lifes) are just like little ants, building our universe. And biologically speaking: Life is nothing more than a side product of nature - evolution.

There is a common saying, "life is what you make it". The choices you make will certainly determine the outcome.

Life is a combination of many things but one thing for certain it's temporary.

Life is living & breathing... Amongst the menial list it is waking up, showering, going to the toilet, eating, sleeping & brushing your teeth; Plus to make things a little more exciting what's also common is mating.

The space between eternities, like unto a sparrow on a cold, dark, winters night flitting in through a house's open window. For an instant, it is bathed in warmth and cheer. It smells wonderful things, sees the gaiety of the season, and knows brotherhood. Then it slams against the closed pane of the next window opposite and breaks its neck. That's pretty much what happens once you get old enough to walk, forced to watch the wonders and happiness around you, paralyzed and suffering for who knows how long until you finally expire and are cast back to outter darkness.

That's life, and were it not for religion, I would have nothing to do with it from the start. It is alluring lies covering deep currents of pain, drudgery, and hopelessness. Yet we will supposedly be punished if we put an early end to it, so we suffer one way or the other... Whee...

Life is given to us by the God who defines Himself in the Bible.  It is given to us so we can have a personal father/child relationship with Him now and in heaven when we die.  Jesus is the one who provided the way to have this relationship.  Good question.
