How do you get people to follow you on Hubpages?
So you are getting views, writing Hubs, creating good content.. But how do get people to follow you?
By commenting on questions like yours and letting them know that you are an active user I guess.
1. write good stuff
2. leave comments on other people's hubs
3. reply to all the comments you receive on your hubs.
4. spread the word outside hubpages by doing back links
5. if you notice that some of your hubs about certain topics have success keep on writing on it.
6. Refine your style and writing, add photographs and videos. I don't have videos in my hubs so far but I'm planning to add this.
Good luck
The biggest thing that effects how you get followers is time. It takes time to build them up. But note that they don't have as much an effect on how profitable your account is as people who come from outside HubPages.
Get involved in the community and people will notice you, also follow people with articles you like and some may follow you.
laral said it best! Getting involved on hub pages is important, but it is also fun. You can pick the categories that most interest you, and read other peoples hubs and make comments. Good luck to you!
I agree with all of laral's suggestions.
Recently, I have been particularly following her advice about keeping with topics that are successful. If you have topics that do well, continue to write about them.
Hi, When I see a question like this I first click on your name & check out your hubs .If they are of no interest to me then I don't follow,
In your case I am now following you as you write about my favourite subject !
join in forums like reccommend another hubbers hub + games we play , do some hub hopping & leave comments etc.
Photo taken in Western Australia !
Put links on facebook etc
Also what Laral said !
Read other hubs and follow the people you like - many will follow you back. Just don't follow props without reading their hubs - I wrote a hub on this called How New Bubbers Ruin Their Hubscore
By writing good, quality hubs. Follow people who write content that interests you. Many times they will reciprocate and follow you in return. Also try to interest people in your hubs outside the community as well as inside. Thanks for your question!
I will not answer but I will THANKS instead..I'm new in the site and hoping to get more friends here.Thank you guys hope you follow me also!
Thank you all for the good advice.
I have been trying to become involved in all aspects of Hubpages and always Hop some Hubs and leave comments.
I post links on Twitter and FB occasionally and this usually brings a few extra views.
I mainly use my own photos where i can and enjoy writing about my travels, experiences and interests. I do have a 12-14 day job also so time is the biggest factor affecting my Hubpages activity.
I am trying my best to get involved

I am still new to Hubpages and have been enjoying a rather successful start. Thank you to those who have voted my articles up and those few of you who have begun to follow me. But I have noticed one thing of late and maybe it is the way it goes but I think it is disrespectful. I have commented on a...

PROBLEM: Whenever I write a hub on a controversial subject, a number of people create new, fake hub accounts solely for the purpose of posting negative comments and feedback on my hubs and/or threatening me anonymously. These new hubbers have 0 (zero) hubs and no other activity, and they are never...
