Have you ever considered that your every experience is glossed over by cognitive systems?

It is well understood that the human brain is setup with various cognitive systems for dealing with data. Notice when you gaze upon a loved one the emotions you begin to feel. This sort of mental event occurs at almost every moment. Have you ever considered how this shapes your world?

Definitely.  Every single one of our experiences have been filtered or processed, and I don't think we ever get to see the "raw data".  One of the filtering processes that I never cease to marvel about is how the brain can "cover up" the hole at the back of our eyes - we know it is there, but we can't see it.

Yes for sure, I have actually caught myself out,

One moment I'm doing something then the next I'll start laughing because I just had felt and understood that my brain told my body to do that certain thing for example "walk that way" or "do that task"!!!

We are completely controlled by our thoughts.......scary sometimes isn't it!

    It makes me laugh!!

Yes this is why it is so important to choose what we eat, see, listen to and more... all the senses influence our journey here. That is the reason why positive thinking is so important. Now, if all the bodymind experience is more conscious, things are better.
This is how you can handle the cold weather, the hot, the pleasant and unpleasant situations in your life.
Once we become aware of all that, we may be more cautious about activities, diet, hobbies, friends, decoration, etc...
I remember changing my perspective of life for better by changing my bedroom's wall color, starting to sing again and practicing silent times.
I am actually in a state of stress now that is the result of long hours of wrong activities and interactions, wrong relationships and unnecessary worries.
As soon as I realized that things were the same but I had shifted on negative because of this and that, I started a positive domino effect on my life experience. I am smiling now after good meditation, exercise, eating and writing. The last one gives me so much good!!!
Happy new year to everybody, may this year be the beginning of positive and interesting, learning spiritual journey which fruits you will see grow, pamper and enjoy for times indefinite.
    Love and peace to all

Your question brings up one of the great mysteries of being us.

Yes I have the recollection of cognitive experiences and have studied up on the subject in the past.  I haven't went into such great detail, because I know that to use your mind in useful ways, is to also generate a much better felt out reality leading to greater life experiences.
I picked this up from the learning of meditation and practicing meditation techniques for years. Many people have no knowledge of such things and for that reason sometimes are susceptible to many differing forms of suffering, due to such lack of know how of their unseen mental faculties that exist.
This is mostly due to the fact that we aren't just dealing with natural experiences in life today, we also have been exposed to the artificially inseminated experiences such as one may get from viewing things of an unnatural order, like movies, media, TV, and harmful video game content.

As harsh as it may be its true that our mind will shape the contours of our existence, and experiences on earth, and many things that occur externally from outside of it has a powerful influence as well.

Awesome question and highly intuitive, thanks for asking.

You didn't include the SPIRITUALITY of our existence, which would have brought more to be considered to the table. But as it is, "MATTER" is the focus of knowledge call... "The Flesh". But there is more to the flesh, besides the flesh.

It would be the same as saying:There is more to the peanut, besides the peanut,as an example of hidden-rewards and new found knowledge.
