If you don't believe in God, or a creator then what do you believe in?

Many people claim to be atheist, but that only means they don't believe in a god who created all things, but if so what do you actually believe in.

*Purpose of this question is to inspire the writing of hubs as answers, and if your answer is going to be more than two short sentences, please use the write a hub on it, the link is below in the comment area to do so. You can also try answering the question twice, which leads you too the option as well.

One doesn't have to believe in anything.  The abscence of blind faith doesn't leave a void in my life; it isn't neccessary for me to believe in, or concern myself, with creation.

I'll throw my opinion out there on this subject.  I hold an Associates degree in divinity which means I know enough to get me in a little trouble, but not enough to save the planet. (laughing) .  Here's my take ..

I think that everybody believes in God.  Now, stay with me for a minute.  There are about 10% of the people who don't agree with the rest of us on who God really is.  See, if the God of creation doesn't exist, then people become their own God.  The number on atheist reads nine, sometimes 10% depending on your source.  That figure isn't actually correct though, because when you talk to those people and dig in, you find that about half a are actually agnostic.  Way off subject, sorry ..

People by nature don't do a very good job of managing things, so it's sad to say that some people have to rely on themselves as God. It also strips life of any meaning which sucks also.

Great Question, I believe that if you believe in yourself and others then you also believe in something greater. As long as we've been around people have been worshipping something.

Here's my hub I made in response. My mind's a bit elsewhere, so I had some difficulties getting down what I was trying to say without sounding like a "hater", so hopefully it makes sense!

I believe in the Pure Energy of the universe. The Pure Energy which exists outside of time and space and which my life force came from before it manifested in this reality as a Time Bubble.

I am not an atheist, I am an agnostic.. But I will still consider myself more of a non-believer for my own reasons (though I have no qualms with god or religious people). My answer to the question is simple. If I don't believe in god, I believe in myself. If it is true that god created everyone in his image, then it must also be true that he made us powerful enough to become him. Of course, we just need to realize our own true power, that's all.

I would say I believe in the big bang theory, and that we're just a stage in the evolution of everything in the world. I believe that Science has the answers I want, and I can wait until I get them.

Actually you can not... neither can I... if anything at all is discovered it will be past our time.
