Texan and several other conservatives are paranoid that people are monitoring them.  There is an option for those who do not like their IP being logged: stay offline.  Also, I can tell some people are not interested in making any money with their hubs here because they have never looked at Google Analytics, which entails seeing which parts of the world and which topics are most popular with search engine traffic coming to your hubs.  Several other hubbers have noted getting comments from the same or similar IP address from different screen names.  I personally just look at a trend and delete these comments when I see a trend.  Talking about automatic weapons and guns definitely is scaring, and there is no way around that.

I also wanted to say I always appreciate Lita's comments on this thread.  She does a good job of illustrating how ridiculous some people are acting.  Maybe it is time for some of the men here to stop acting so childish, maybe just maybe!

We have to stay offline because we will be stalked?? You Government drones are scary!

I guess illegal wiretapping is ok when there is a Democrat in office? The only consistent liberal out there is Cindy Sheehan and she is just nuts! But at least she is honest to herself and true to her cause!!

So you call me a hypocrite and tell Lita she is not making important points?  You are not the moderator of this forum, and do not have the power to command people to go away.  If you do not like what people have to say, well then you have the option of leaving.  However, I would never tell someone to go away.

I've told you in so many words, actually, I don't find you, relevant, Texan.  Your 'argument,' to my eyes, isn't adequate.  It's just rabble-rousing and stoking up contention, which you admitted to.

The internet has given many who wouldn't have it, a voice.  The content of one's voice (or lack there of), however, is still apparent to some.

That, to me, is the point.  The political right to free speech does not equal screaming obscenities at the president.  Maybe you need to go back and read those links I provided at the beginning.

Did you two just wake up to what has been said to Presidents? neither one of you seems to recall all of the things that have been said to Bush,Clinton Reagan they were all yelled at with obscenities, and yes free speech does mean people have the right to do just that! No Lita I am probably much older and have seen all of this before many times, and guess what, I didn't try and stop people from speaking their mind. I recognize that freedom of speech is everything to this society and just because I may not like what is being said I would not interfere with that persons right to say it! You would, and thats the difference between fascism and freedom!

Great.  So, the point is, after you've screamed "Obama is a racist!" a few times and maybe tried to attack someone and break their windpipe (just saying), upon which you are rightfully forced to leave a peaceable discussion or town hall (my point with bringing up McCain's town hall), do you actually have anything else to say?

You know, I don't think many of you may realize, all the contention stoking is just that--often only that.  Occupy the people with fighting amongst themselves and often an empty, pointless anger.  To avoid riots and violence, of course it will cow some interests.  But do you really think you are going to be 'heard?'  Do you really think you are going to contribute anything to finding solutions in fixing our very real problems?  I think not.  And perhaps that is exactly where certain interests want you.

Now, I don't really expect a sane answer, given what I have seen thus far, but thought I'd say it, since links obviously are not read.

Everybody is insane if they are not a Democrat or liberal, same ol stuff Lita. Obama's version of health care will not pass in the form he wants if it passes at all, so yes these voices have been heard.

Of course they want us to fight among ourselves, you are just waking up to that? Bush was a POS (Acronym probably needs no explanation)But guess what, so is Obama!! In our hurry to say the other side is wrong we forget that sometimes the other side has a point that is valid, health care reform is an important thing, but ramming another expensive bill down our throats is not the way to do it!

The stimulus is the cause, the administration said if it was passed then unemployment would not go above 8% we are close to 10% now. They said the 10 year deficit would be 7 Trillion dollars, it will be 9 Trillion. The sad thing is Limbaugh, Hannity, Boortz said it would be 9 long ago!

I am not insane I just have a different view of what is important than you, I do not put politicians on a pedestal and praise them when they lie, and yes Obama has been lying! Beck is only asking why he is lying, what is the reason behind all the lies?

Its sad that freedom of speech to you only means liberals can speak because "we won!" Thats not how it works, and hold on in 2010 the shift will be to our favor, a repeat of the Clinton first midterm elections!

Again, as you stated yourself that you do this, your need to "provoke" stands in your way.  It's very easy to stereotype and scream so you don't have to think or do the work (that's what I see you doing with 'liberals' through this entire thread).  I'd point out that this was primarily you stereotyping--not me, not SP, nor most of those who have identified as liberals.

Some of us realize government is about work and solving problems. And this is no way to approach it.  Some also do not share your (pretty much obvious) cynical views that we cannot make changes for the better.

I'm aware that's all you can understand.

I also feel like you are the one who is "oh, so pity me."  No one listens to me, scream, scream, and I must use as many exclamation points as possible.

I think the original question has been around the block a few times, Ma'am.  And my original response very much addressed it.  I'm not very interested in adult remedial education, on many levels, and this is not grade school.  Thanks for the input.

Your comments reflect elementary behavior, repetetive and woe is me attitude, along with an inability to tolerate differing opinions in a mature manner.

Still not that interested in adult remedial education. wink  How does one define the word 'debate?'  (Even though this thread hardly qualifies as that, and any steps taken towards that measure is labeled 'boring,' as we would rather just scream out, "Obama is a racist!!!!" with many exclamation marks.)

The only individual screaming would be yourself, with your constant elitist comments projecting an attitude that you are above reproach.

Obama is a racist and Beck was right on the money!

                  1. SweetiePie profile image71

Actually if you ask me it sounds like you and the Beck supporters are screaming.  You come and accuse people that do not agree with Beck of acting like kids, but the truth is his supporters cannot seem to handle criticism of this character.  Supporters of Beck cry freedom of speech just so they can call Obama a racist, which to me is just ridiculous.  You have the freedom of speech to make these outlandish remarks, but do not be shocked and surprised when people disagree with you.

Also, stop telling people how they can act and behave by saying they should not "promoting themselves".  This is a forum and all hubbers have the right to post how they wish.  It seem the Glenn Beck supporters like to control others, but cry deprivation of freedom of speech when we critique his comments.

what's repetitive is the vile spewing forth from the one poster hogging the discussion board.  the irony that he actually brings hogs into the discussion is almost humorous.  if it weren't so pathetic.

Lita - With all you’ve said your words like some many Liberal “deeds” and rhetoric are as empty as the bowls you so desperately want to fill.

Solutions are found by serious people doing serious work, not by those blown up with self-indulgent importance in insulated academic and political stratosphere.

This administration, its minions and directors are attempting to move the political and social landscape of a free majority of society that does not want to be relocated. I assure you the fighting has just begun.

I'm sorry, "bowls" I want to desperately fill?  What does that even mean?

And I work in PR, and am a writer, hence my knowledge of framing a message properly...if you are referring to my statement on the other Beck thread.

And my reading of the situation is entirely different from yours.  Period.  If you take issue with that, fine.  The rest of your statement seems to me, wink, falsely inflated with rhetoric with intent to impress.  But, I could be wrong.

As long as Glenn beck gets the ratings, the network is happy. Ultimately advertisers will HAVE to use him, because millions of people watch.  It's a tricky game, but tv is not always on the veiwers side.

I guess I am smarting from the allusion of my not being a gentleman.  I guess I'll live even though such speculation is a serious charge to a southern male.

For those of you who are concerned by last nights postings between Texan and myself I apologize.  We have conversed by email and I think it's fair to say we both had misconceptions about the others motives.

I thought he was friends with our common troll and I tried to explain why looking at the IP address was pertinent to the discussion.  Dean was acting out of a sense of loyalty and has already apologized to me so I am okay with that.  Besides, Texan and I are both avid morning dove hunters which happens to be my favorite shooting sport.  There are some things more important than politics.

    So carry on!

Lita, whatever, boring, carry on without me!

Thanks, Randy.  Yep, I saw and understood the what and how.  I personally don't think mentioning violence, etc., is appropriate, but that's up to HP management to interpret, not me.
