How can the Qur'an be considered more authentic than the Torah or Holy Writ?

Muslims have the fundemental belief that the Quran is the authentic word of God untainted by human hand or influences.  But it was still written by men and written down from an oral tradition after Muhammed's death...  So how is that they think their book is better than the Holy Canon or the Torah?

As a muslim myself, I do agree with what you claim muslims believe. At the time of writing the first QUran (in khalifa uthman ibn affans rule) there were many, many hafidh- a hafidh is one who has memorized the quran word for word. these hafidhs learned from the prophets own mouth. the same people wrote it down. it wasnt just one person either, it was a number that may have been 100, give or take. point being, it was A LOT of people who memorized the quran, some even from his family. if even a letter or vowel was wrong, many people would pounce on it. also, keep in mind that arabic is different from english- i speak both so i understand how it might not be the same in both. in arabic, the grammar rules are VERY strict. if a word is in different places in the sentence, the structure of the word and the attached vowels are different. thus, even if a word's vowels were altered, one would notice it because it wouldnt make sense- it would be like a typo. you would be able to notice it.

Muslims, I am one myself, often follow the hadith more than the Quran. This is a sin in my belief and is wrong. As Muhammad said himself that the hadith should not be written. Now this being said, the Qur'an says that The Torat (Torah) and the Ijel (The Gospel) are the Word of Allah (God) Same as the Qur'an. So any Muslim who believes the Quran is more Holy is well wrong. However in the fact of being more Authentic as the Qur'an was passed down before written so was the bible. But the Quran from 1400 years ago contains the same amount of books and verses today. The Bible however does not. Take it for what you want but I have a family Bible from the 1880's and it is much longer and contains many more books that one you can buy in the average store today. This is why they think it is more Authentic because well it is a fact. However the original length bible is still available it is hard to find and most who read it have no idea its not the entire thing. Never mind the fact is has been translated and re translated. I have 4 different versions of the bible from the same decade and I open to the same page and the same verse and it says 4 different things. As for the Torah, I dont know too many Muslims who have made this claim besides ones who are ignorant of their own Qur'an. As for the Torah it is still found in original form and length quite commonly except when found in the "modern" bible and refered to as the "old testament".

Hi Ya!  Every belief system, as far as religion goes, holds the same tenant you put forth here.  Their "word" is the sacred word.  What needs to be guarded in this nation is the right for all religions to be practiced openly without any government interference or coercion.  The First Amendment speaketh. Amen.

The faith comes by hearing. Muslims are repeating Koran 5 x a day, that they believe what is preached. The Old Covenant is written in digital mode and is authentic. The Koran is not.

There are three main parts to the Word of GOD. They are the Torah, the Gospel, and the Qur’an. And we are judged based on what we are given, not what we were not given. The Jews are judged by the Torah, the Christians are judged by the Gospel, and the Muslims by the Qur'an. God does not reveal His Book to all people equally.  There are many parts to the Body of God and they are not all equal or have the same purpose. What we all have equal is to believe and do good onto others. What we do for the Word of GOD is a benefit. What we do against the Word of GOD is a misfortune. The benefit of washing in all three parts is that a person can know in full. Read one part know in one part. However, the truth that God allows to come out of theTorah and the Gospel are cut off before the Last Day. The first part and the second part are cut off before the Last Day.  There will come a time when, the first part and the second part, of the Word of GOD are both cut off, but the third part lives. This was prophesied by the prophet Zechariah in chapter 13, verses 7 to 9 where it reads; ‘Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the Lord of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts (Torah & Gospel)therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part (Qur'an) through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried, they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, it is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my GOD.’
