   Is anyone seeing a lot of traffic from Pinterest?
   
   I have had a huge jump in my traffic for one article that got pinned on Pinterest by someone else.  I was wondering if anyone else has seen this kind of activity.  Or if you could see the potential of using Pinterest as another avenue to promote your hubs.

   Some authors have seen good traffic, but the hub really needs to be suitable to the predominately female demographic of Pinterest users.  Here is an article I wrote on using Pinterest to increase traffic to your hubs or blog.  I hope it helps.

   One of my hubs was pinned - the 101 weight loss foods one and it got a lot of traffic for a couple of days off the pins and repins.  It has fallen off, but it was a nice spike for a bit. 
   
   I definitely can see pinterest being great for those with very strong graphics and content.

   I'm getting reasonable traffic from Pinterest but the best part is it is coming from sources that are not the same as my following on Facebook or Twitter, so I'm attracting new readers.

   I've seen traffic go up on food-related hubs I have pinned, but not on others. it really depends on the content of the hub and if it appeals to the Pinterest audience. Hubs about crafts, food, and art seem to do the best.

   Pinterest is a great way to start spreading my site on what is becoming a very popular social media tool. I've used pinterest to optimize my site and the result was amazing my site was jumped from #234 to #9 in few weeks time. The trick is we must got our website pinned and repinned by many people this is the hardest part. Most of pinterest users won't doing repin when they aren't like what we pinned. I do simple thing to outsource it on fiverr and got my site pinned by more than 70 people, I don't know how can he did it just search by typing pinterest on fiverr and you will find it.
   As I know currently pinterest is best for SEO for these reason:
   1. Once our website pinned it has 3 backlinks counts
   2. Google interest in social media signal so it will not tagged as links farm
   3. Currently pinterest links are dofollow even the image
   4. Also support anchor text, it's perfect for placing our keywords

    Pinterest is a great way to get exposure for your Hubs, although all links are "no follow" which means they don't count as backlinks now.
    
    However, I've had to mark all my Hubs "do not pin", because I use photos by other photographers, which are CC licensed.  If I allow them to be pinned, it's likely the license will get detached when it's repinned, so I'm wilfully setting things up so the photographer won't get credit for his/her work.  I don't think that's fair.

    I'm giving Pinterest a try but so far haven't seen much in the way of views/results from it. I'm thinking that my Hub subject matter (mainly music and movies) doesn't reflect the interests of the majority of Pinterest users, who seem mainly into recipes and fashion oriented stuff... Oh well, I figured it was worth a shot.
