   a big no: Some people fell like the less they know, less will be expected of them. This idea is setting low standards for your life and those lower standards will result in under achieving and you will have more difficulty setting life goals that will really change your life for the better.

   I like Greg's answer--ignorance must be a requirement!
   
   But I know I would always rather know what's happening, even if--especially if--I'm trying to resolve a difficult issue. People often go to great lengths to avoid disappointing another by telling them something they don't want to hear--or by simply not saying anything at all--and hoping "it" all just goes away. Having been on both sides of that coin, I have to say I prefer knowing to not knowing. Then I know what I'm dealing with.
   
   (I had a professor who essentially disappeared one quarter. This was an online course and he was expected to participate in forums, provide detailed feedback on papers, etc. He simply stopped responding to our e-mails, even those saying all would be forgiven if he'd just let us know what was happening. He returned assignments with nice, high grades but with no feedback; some students hadn't received their final grade by the start of the following quarter. We never did find out what happened, but I'll never forget our collective frustration.)

   Ignorance is bliss in just one case i.e. it's the bliss if you are ignore of your death's date. In all other cases, ignorance is not a bliss.

   Yes, ignorance is bliss. Intelligence can be a curse. (The next statement is not meant to sound conceited in any away!) I've lived with an IQ of 168, and honestly, the things I observe that most people don't proves that statement. People ignore so many things that would make a difference in how they interact with the world. (Notice the word ignore is in the word ignorance.) While I wouldn't give up my intelligence for anything in the world, I can see how ignorance can lead to a blissful life. There are somethings people just wouldn't want to know.
   
   Kids are the epitome of bliss, and look how much they know...
