   Would it be a good idea to introduce Yoga in Secondary Schools?
   
   Sometimes, I work with teens and I feel Yoga would make them disciplined, give them a calmer attitude and promote fitness. (However, it doesn't have to be Mandatory)

   It is a great idea. Please do so, as long as it is not forced, it can only do good.

   Besides being a mild and subtle exercise for the body, yoga is a great practice for our minds. I think that practicing yoga is useful not only in schools but also at working places. Actually, it does teach discipline, especially on a personal level. It no doubt creates a cooler attitude towards most of the problems in our lives and helps to develop consciousness. People who practice yoga are more aware of their thoughts, emotions and body. So, they control themselves in a much better way, even though they appear more introvert. I think a little bit of yoga at the beginning and at the end of every school class can make the teaching more effective.

   Yes, good idea.  Maybe even in primary/elementary schools.  Start them young!

      I'm thinking this would be extra good in high schools, given the stresses that happen to children at this time as their bodies and minds are changing and developing.  It's an especially confusing and difficult time, teens would benefit from yoga.

   Teaching Yoga besides or instead of competitive sports is definitely a good idea. Children could be given even more physical disciplines to chose from, as part of the curriculum or perhaps as after school activities. Boys (and girls) would love to learn Capoera, Martial Arts. Girls are more into creative dance, Yoga, Pilates. Many disciplines overlap, so even a cocktail of moves taken from various disciplines can work well in one and the same "movement" class, call it Yoga if you wish. The body speaks in moves, not in words.

   I love yoga and I think it would be great for teens. It would help them learn life health habits and be in better touch with their own bodies. I am not so sure a whole school full of kids would get the benefits of yoga. A lot of them will show up only because they have to and won't allow themselves (or the other kids in the class) to really connect with it. I think it would be very good for teens who attend private sessions because they want to learn.

   If it brings about discipline I'm all for it. It seems that discipline and respect aren't in youngsters vocabulary any more. Or am being too cynical.

    My fiancee's sister teaching yoga to little kids with great success. I think this would be a brilliant idea.

    I believe yoga in school should be a must. Yoga was my college physical education credit and for 2 years it help me keep on the right path and ease any anxiety or tension that comes as we become adults. And this was in college.
    
    If yoga is brought into primary education in the years where we learn behavioral patterns and science and where we grow and become adults I believe there would be a lot less violence and bullying, better application of the information learned, and a better structural community. Understanding yourself is just as important as knowing the 50 states and their capitals and being able to cope is more important than writing cursive. So I believe it would be great!
