   I believe while living in the flesh we will all fall short in the area of the commandments.  This is not necessarily purposeful but limits of our human nature.  I would be more concerned about not loving God or your neighbors and enemies.  God is Love and to Love and to accept Him is to Love others as He loves us.  So I would be concerned for a Christian who does this as this is a separation from God.  I would never want this separation in my relationship with Christ.  I can only speak for my personal relationship.  Good question:)

   As for the TEN COMMANDMENTS we surely strive to do our best, but if we fail in one point we have sinned -
   However, Jesus as seen in Matthew 5 fulfilled the Law in totality and He, knowing that man in our fallen condition could not ever keep these of our own accord, came and brought us a better covenant and although the Law was good then, the Law could not save us and therefore we needed more, we needed Jesus.
   
   When we look at John 3:16, John 10:9, John 14:6, Romans 10:9-13 and many other Scriptures we see that Jesus came for us, He gave up Heaven for us, He became as one of us so that we may be like Him.
   
   Daily our faith in His finished work on the cross is what keeps us saved and as well we must pray, believe and strive to be Like Him , as much as possible. Our old habits disappear, lies, immorality, alcohol, drugs, foul mouths and more. Sometimes it takes a while, but none the less - as we draw closer to the Lord - all these things will fade and we will want to be more like Him.
   
   In order to Love our neighbor as our self, we must first be in Love with Jesus and emulate Him as best we can by living a godly life and daily searching the scriptures, praying and asking that the Holy Spirit be allowed to help us and teach and lead us.
   Then we can Love our enemies, and bless those that curse us... we do not become buddies with them unless they really get saved, but we can and must ask the Lord to bless them, heal and help them..... if they show no signs of turning there are some cases where we do not pray for them at all, but we yet love them as Jesus has loved us.

   That is simple. Jesus said, "If you love me, obey me." If the bible tells you to love others, then you follow Christ's lead, and obey that commandment. Everything in scripture, whether old testament or new is valid, and for your personal edification, as well as those around you. It behooves you to seek God out through His word; study the scriptures prayfully, asking Him for understanding; then you would not need to ask this sort of question. GB

   I don't know how they can be considered such without loving GOD.  That's the first port of call with respect to being a Christian, and if you can't get there then you're not sincere in your efforts to live a Christ-like life.

   A Christian is someone who recognizes his sinful nature, repents and follows Jesus. It is impossible for any of us to be sinless. The 10 commandments are meant to convict us of our sinful nature and need for salvation. If you love God and have repented of your sins you will try to do what God commanded, but we all fall short due to our human nature.

   Some people believe the Ten Commandments applied only to the people of Israel at the time. The first four reference the diety of God and honor to Him. The rest guide people in living a good life.  If you read through them, they are all good advice and prevent us from bad consequences. If you truly are a Christian, you hold these commandments as part of your beliefs because it honors God and people. The commandments are guidelines for living a life that represents God to others but also keep you in tune with Him.
