   what kind of lifestyle do you plan on living? there is many different types of lifestyles. do you prefer namebrand of everything you use or do you look for bargins and spend little money on items needed?

   I think that happy and content life for me and you are completely different.  I think if I were able to pay all my bills and still have 2,000 in my bank account that would leave me happy and content.

   That depends on what you need to be a content.  None of us really need much more than a roof over our heads and a full belly.  I suppose that if you could get rid of all the uncertainties in life (loss of job, major illness and recovery, etc.), then the general need for money would be a lot less.  I think it's people trying to be prepared for an uncertain future that makes the accumulation of money seem so important.

   Enough to pay for the bills, food and rent. And a little bit for social and entertainment purposes. Having enough to run a car may be required if your job means you can't use public transport for whatever reason (location, working hours). Things will vary depending on whether you live alone or have a family, of course.
   
   We do not need Gucci, Ferrari, Rolex or fine dining. It's fine to want them, of course, but if we are miserable without them then we need to look within for answers to true happiness because even if we bought a Rolex, we will only be happy briefly. Plus we will be worried about losing it as we know we would be unhappy if we lost it.
