   I absolutely believe in miracles.
   
   I almost died of a perforated colon in July of 2000. I was in the hospital for two days before a radiologist noticed a bubble on the x-ray and figured out it was coming from the back side of my colon. I was being prep for another test when the surgeon walked in and said I needed surgery and I would need a colostomy. My heart sank.
   He turned to me and saw my expression and said it would be a temporary colostomy. I knew I could handle temporary. Surgery was set for two hours later. My wife ran home to feed the dog and check on our son. When she got back, she said she immediately knew what ashen appearance meant. She said I was gray. I was going into a coma. The nurse told my wife to keep me talking. I do not remember one minute of this, but she held my hand all the way to the operating room talking about everything and making me answer. They were able to put me under before I went into a coma. The surgeon did some nifty knitting and I woke up in intensive care, where I stayed for five days. I was in the hospital for almost 14 days, but back at work six weeks after the surgery.
   
   At a post op check up I was thanking the doctor and he said not to thank him. "Someone is not through with you yet." he said.
   
   My son was in a near fatal  car accident. We got the call to come to the hospital. We were told he needed brain surgery and may not make it. He did. He live through the first night. They said he would be in surgicial ICU for weeks, he was there 10 days. They said he would be in a regular room one five or six weeks, he was there for two. They said he would need months of therapy. He had two months. He is alive today.
   
   Miracles happen all the time. Sometimes we are too self-absorbed with ourselves to realize it.

   Yes. I do believe in miracles as well as the existence of God and Buddha.
   
   When I was 12 years old, I was knocked down by a speeding car that sent me flying in the air about 8 - 10 feets witnessed by my friend who was behind me on the road. He saw my body floating in the air before landing onto the road after the car had sped off.
   
   I remained motionless for about a minute or two before waking up to check on myself to see if there were any injuries. It was indeed a miracle that I couldn't find any serious injury except a few cuts. Went to the hospital for X-rays that came out negative for broken bones.
   
   For that day onwards, I truly believe in the existence of God and Buddha as well as miracle happening around the world. Everyone of us may have different experiences in life but I am glad that it happens to me otherwise I will not have a family to tell my story.

   I experience miracles all the time.
   
   Some people, when they talk of miracles, mean "special, unusual, seemingly impossible events." I've had my share of those, including some healing miracles. My wife was suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. Her foot got run over by a car. Not only was the foot not permanently injured, the arthritis went away, too!
   
   But, for me, a smile is a miracle. Having air to breathe and lungs that work is a miracle.
   
   Each of you is a miracle.

   Absolutely! I think miracles take place all day. Some are small and some are large. The birth of a baby is a tremendous miracle.

   This did not happen to me but to a co-worker.  He was in a bad car accident and went through te windshield.  since it was the middle of the night, there was no traffic on this country road but a farmer had went by to check on one of his fences.  When the kid cradhed the car, the power went out in the farmer's house and he went to check out why.  The kid had almost bled to death and was rushed to the hosptal with life threatening conditions-and he had to be revieved a few times.  The doctors thought he would be brain-dead or severely damaged and thought he might lose an arm and a leg.  While he is still recovering-it's been over a year-he is doing good.  It looked touch and go for a few days before he showed signs that he was going to make it.
