   To know  more about the dimension of sin...he is the master of universe.so he not only has to know the pros(good) but also cons(bad,sin)..and also the extremeness of sin.. that's why God was clever enough to put the apple tree...along with Eve and Adam in the earth

   this is just another question that religion can't answer. it's like asking if god is real and all powerful why would he create a planet that has hurricanes, volcano's etc. let me tell you why. god is a creation in the human mind.

   Logically an all powerful being would make his creations without negatives. A peaceful group to enhance the world he created. My key word in there was logically. Nothing about religion includes logic. Can anyone help me understand why a god would allow his children to be beat, raped, neglected, have disabilities, or  pain? They can't. They can merely give me the answers they have made logical in their own minds to feel better about the pain and suffering in our world. I'm sorry but there is no real answer to your question.

   If you ran a corporation, would you want all of your senior executives to be yes-men? Or would you want them to have opinions of their own?
   
   If you have children, do you want them to love you and do everything you say, or do you want them to love, and do to what is right?
   
   God took a great risk creating people and giving them both freedom and will. Freedom to choose, and will to create.
   
   We combined these into free will, and made the mistake of imagining that God is not our father and mother. But the truth remains: God is our father, our mother, and our creator. And, no matter what we come to believe about ourselves, we are created in God's image. And so we fell out of God's heavenly garden into confusion.
   
   There is an old puzzle: If God is all-powerful, can he create a weight so heavy that even he cannot lift it? I believe the answer is yes, and then he will be able to lift it anyway.
   
   The weight is our sin - which simply means our errors, our confusion, and the ways we hurt ourselves and our brothers and sisters. And God can lift that weight. We just have to be willing to let her do it.
   
   And the rejoicing when the son or daughter who wandered returns home! It is beyond measure.

    The notion that god did anything is a long-lived lie from humanity's infancy. Man made god to explain the natural phenomena they were witnessing, that we know today as comets, asteroids, meteors, auroras, ball lightning, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and the like. Because a lot of things are caused by an agent such as another human or an animal, it was easy for primitive humans to assume the same about these phenomena. Science was a long way off still. Survival was paramount. We see this evidenced today by sports fans regularly who believe on some level that painting their face, wearing a certain piece of clothing, or some other superstitious action will help them or the team they are a fan of.

    the god i don't believe in would never be so malicious, petty and vile, not to mention illogical - how can you have both an omniscient, omnipotent god and free will?

    Do you think a "man-made" person created us? Not so, but why did He make us all so different with different languages? why did He allow some to struggle all their lives and others to have things in abundance.
    
    When we know all these answers we will be in the 'spirt' with Him, or somewhere else. There are no answers to a lot of things, we just have to except that one day all will be explained.

    I would not say I knew what God was thinking when He ceated us.  Some days i think that he just wanted to have creations to have some fun with them.  Seriously, if God is all powerful and all knowing it would make no sense to create a species and then have them suffer because of sin that God could have prevented.  Oh yes, Free will, God gave us the choice to follow Him or not, that is His love ang His Grace.  Free will is your answer, it is like a parent who knows the child will make the wrong decision but lets them learn and grow from their mistake or sin.
    
    Well the bottom line is we each have to try to find our way back home.
