   What do you think about the infamous 'Octomom' going on welfare and receiving foodstamps?
   
   Some people in California, have released a statement to remind her that she promised not to make tax payers foot the bill for her 'let me have another baby lifestyle...'
   
   Octomom has gotten several death threats on her car windshield.  Death threats consist of demanding she gets off of welfare and stop getting foodstamps or else!

   I think it's unfortunate what is happening to her.  She admitted that she tried to support them without help.  For her to be receiving death threats is as low as you can go. We're talking about children.

   I think that she had icredibally bad judgement in her past and probably will continue to in the future.  But as of now, I can only be concerned with the "welfare" of her children.  They are innocent and anyone who would potentially put them in harms way (death threats etc. etc.) are very much out of line and should look internally to find what is ultimately troubling them.  Yes the Octomom is taking advantage of the system and the tax payers if she is getting welfare but does she deserve death threats?  The answer is simply no!

   The death threats are just as ignorant as her behavior and there is no excuse for either. I think that the children should receive food assistance but she should be excluded from that. There should also be work requirements. I don't care if she starts writing on Hubpages, has yard sales, consigns some of the clothes the babies grow out of as long as she is making an attempt to earn some money. Having this many children and KNOWING from the start you have no way of caring for them is ignorant.

   While it's tempting to chide this woman for the irresponsibility of her exaggerated procreation.... what's done is done.   There are 14 kids who - through no fault of their own - are now living on Earth....
   
   So what do we do? ....  send them all to live on a desert island?  No...  We are an empathetic bunch... and the least we can do (and,perhaps, the most we should do) is help provide for basic sustenance.... enough for respectible survival.....
   
   Consider this:  Nadia Suleman might receive about $108,000 per year in various stipends....  We will piss away that much $$ with our "foreign aid" (to countries which are hostile to us... and vow to "destroy" us) in mere MINUTES, EVERY MINUTE!!!!!

   Firstly,I think death threats are over the top, however I do not know the full story, but am assuming she had a multiple birth. So I must ask why go through with it if she knew beforehand she could not support the children, especially when there is a global economic crisis and far too many people on the planet anyway.

   Usually education, good life and health are the reasons why advanced countries show a drop in population growth rate while developing countries show an increase. When it comes to an individual, the blame cannot be entirely hers. She must be irresponsible and ignorant, but she must also have lacked the proper infrastructure that could have educated her on the impossible situation of 14 children. It is really a failure of the social system, than the individual's, and citizens should be more concerned than merely the tax. Beyond that, what person or gang threatens her with murder, is no concern of mine.

   I don't know what to feel in this situation. The "Octomom" has put a tremendous burden on the taxpayers by having these many children. Did she know what she was doing? It's hard to say; but these children are innocent and need help to grow and lead normal lives. We are living in hard economic times; and to have all of these children is such a hardship that she has put upon herself. I'm struggling just to take care of the two children that I have. However, I think that the death threats are stupid; violence won't solve anything. It's hard to think that she has 18 years for each one of these children to feed and clothe; that will be the cross that she must bear, alone!!!!!
