   Am I the only person on hubpags that isn't making money from my writing?
   
   I try to follow all the help and clever people on here, but I just can not follow how to do things

   I look at this way; I am using Hub Pages as more of a test and learn process in terms of applying Google Analytics.  I do not have enough data yet. 
   I am writing about my job search experience in an effort to help people.  If I make any money on my writing well it is a bonus.

   I think that this is something a large amount of people on here think. If your content is consistent and and of high quality then eventually you will be noticed and earn a good amount of money for your time and efforts! Just stick at it my friend, the time will come. There is no substitute for hard work.

   No you're not. It will just take some time, but it also depends on what subjects you write. And also how well your content is and if your URL is only for example "conservatism". I guess you already use google adwords? They can provide you with the most frequent keywords and they can help to get you an idea how you should name the URL of your hub. Just never forget to keep always writing hehe.

   when i start writings hubs, for 3 weeks my earnings were always 1 cent a day for 3 weeks, there are 2 days were i have zero earning.
   
   But I just continue to write hubs and after 1 more week, it became 30cents, and now i am on my 7th week, i am earning 1 dollar a day.
   
   You just have to continue writing because, maybe who knows, one day you will wake up in the morning and there are lots of people searching for your topics.

   Well in almost 2 years I have $4.67 in my account and that is a long way from the $50 for a pay out.  So no, you are not alone.

      I love duffsmom. Always terse and to the point. Well, two years and 4.67 bucks. You must be a dedicated one. Most of us made far less until recently. $50 are just round the corner. don't give up.

   How much money you earn will depend on the traffic you get and the topics you write. Try to do some keyword research or write about currently trending topics. Don't just write a hub and leave it expecting traffic. Bookmark it in social media and try to build some links to it.
   Good luck.
   HubPages income is kind of a bonus for me, I mostly use it for back links but for your information I started seeing some income from Hubpages after almost 6 months.

   I've had a hub with an earnings poll on it for the last several years.  According to the self-reported statistics there, the majority of people writing on this site earn less than $10/month, so if you are in that category, you are far from alone.

   It takes as much work as you'd devote to a full-time job to make writing Hubs pay more than pocket change.

      You hit de nail on de head relache. You are also very honest about it. I hope tonymead60 doesn't give up yet. Takes a bit of time before de nickels roll in at a higher frequency. Keep learnin’ how to climb de ropes pal. It is indeed a steep curve.

   I just celebrated my first anniversary here and last I checked, thus far my "earnings" **might** be just about enough to buy myself a 12 pack of beer (domestic, not even imported!)... so no, you're not alone.
   
   Mind you, once I joined HubPages it didn't take me long to realize that I was never gonna be rolling in the dough here... because I don't have eighteen hours a day to devote to writing Hubs, backlinking those Hubs all over the internet and worrying about S.E.O. and keyword optimization and all the other hassles that go with it. So I stopped stressing over it and decided to keep posting stuff simply because I enjoy writing and this site has proved to be a cool outlet for it.

    much depends on how much you invest in yourself. How well you write, the topic and how you use social media to post. To me there is no magic here. You have to work this like anything else. If you have a niche it be better. Then you can target your audience. I have been MIA here. I took a break to see and observe.
    I still enjoy being here, but now only want to hub about things that really strike my fancy.I know I won't get rich here.

    I have 31 hubs and received a payout from HP. I have $38 in Adsense after 2 years. I started making more money after hub 28. I should make $15 from HP this month. It took forever to learn and apply SeO.

    You're not alone. I'm not making any money here in HP, well probably 3 cents???
    
    But, I do make money outside of HP. I'm just here because I like the community and the interaction between hubbers and share experiences.
    
    If you want to make money here, I mean serious money... you will have to devote more time crafting quality hubs in a trending topics which people will love, not only for the fellow hubbers but for people outside of HP who are not hubbers but looking for information, the information that you wrote.
    
    In short, create quality and informative hubs and promote it outside of HP. A simple social bookmarking is a good start. Then, there is twitter and facebook.

    Hi Tony,
    It's true that you are not alone, since from the look of Relache's poll, a lot of people are making less than 10/ month. It doesn't have to be that way and if you're serious about wanting to make more than the average, you've gotta treat it like another job. Study the learning center thoroughly and keep up with HP's blog. They've got great tips. I may have only been here for 3 months, and still have a lot more to learn...but my earnings are doubling every month, so the stuff that I've learn is working! Also...I noticed you are a chef and you've got some great recipe hubs! I especially like the Friendship bread one. Have you tried posting your recipes on Pinterest? There are a lot of foodies on there, so if you post a nice mouth-watering photo of your food, you can can get some traffic. Also, start implementing the new recipe capsules! You can also put search friendly keywords in your title and subtitles. People will not type in "friendship bread" when they're looking for bread recipes.

    Mr. Dollar will come knockin' when Mr. Google has indexed you enough. My increase came after some 15 months and is climbing. Make friends among the hubbers too. Follow them and their works too. Read their hubs and comment. You will be surprised. Seems like we are in de same dhow. Good hubbing guys. You made my day.
