For the older set, ever feel like you want the 60's and 70's back or are you adjusted to 2012?

Our way of life has changed so much in the last 40-50 years, how do you cope with the computer age and all of the changes we have now in 2012? I think things changed more after 1980, and that I am sure some of our younger Hubbers might want to speak to in this arena. Do you wish for the simpler, more easy lifestyle?

I think that times are greatly different now than they were 30+ years ago.  Especially in the last several years things have moved so quickly.  Granted a lot happened over the last 100 years and so on, but so much has changed recently and continues to change very rapidly it seems.  If things are getting better, I'm not sure.  I think a lot of the positive values and ways of life are being lost over time.  Medicine, science, and technology are improving in most regards but at the same time a lot of what was good back then will never be and those times will surely be missed.

We are more divided now, so of course it was better back then.  Back then, even if you disagreed, you went your own way.  I miss privacy and quiet.

I would love certain aspects of the era to be present in our day and time.  We could use a little more innocent TV programming for one thing.  I think we have a lot of advantages in our present day that would be hard to live without, such as the advanced technology.

You make an excellent set of points! Yhe TV shows with people taking God's name in vain are dispicable in that respect, it takes away from the enjoyment of the shows and I am glad so much that your comment mentions innocence, seems to be lost.

I don't miss the innocent tv shows that kept women in their place. I grew up with June Cleaver and looking back I feel so sorry for the poor lady. Waiting on her husband in a dress and heels and full makeup.
