Do you think its better to get married after university or during?

There are hardships in both situations, but which is the lesser of two evils?

I wouldn't say either of them were evils at all. The right answer should be when you meet the man/woman you love and want to spend the rest of your life with. That said, you don't need to rush into anything. I met my wife at university, but we didn't get married until several years later.

I suppose finances come into it somewhere, most people want to marry when they can have their own home together. If you are both living with parents and can't afford to move out, you might want to wait a bit.

It's true that you should do it whenever you feel is right.  If those are the only two deciding factors I wouldn't say one is necessarily a better choice than the other.  I suppose it all depends on what your personal hardships would be. Some have financial issues, some have family issues, some have time issues, and so forth.  Maybe make a list and compare your options then try to choose what you think is best.

There are no guarantees in this life steinbergr.  Get married if you are both each others most important consideration.  If you both put down all of your dreams and hopes on a single sheet of paper and nothing trumps the importance of each other and if you would help each other to reach all of the other goals that you have listed on your journey together through life, then go for it.
As you travel through life and grow, you will add other things to the list, no one can forsee the future.  Both of you will grow and so will your list.  As long as you are each others priority it will all work out.   p.s. pruning - letting go and removing items from the list can promote new growth.
