   What can cause a blistery outbreak on forearms - no fever, no itching?
   
   My 7-year old has a blistery outbreak on his forearms, without itching or fever.  Any ideas on what its cause could be?  I treated it with a 1:10 "salve" of tea tree oil and coconut oil, and the redness has already decreased in less than 15 minutes.  Thanks!

   Eczema...allergy to latex.  My husband breaks out on his arms every year around summer time.

   The rash on your 7 year old's forearm responded to an excellent "naturopathic" remedy for several, or should I say, for many medical problems. One of the "main-stays" for dermatological diagnosis is that "the doctor needs "to see" the "lesion," that is, the rash, "before" it is treated" to make the diagnosis, usually. Sometime the patient gives the clinician the diagnosis by what they report in the medical history. For example, in this case, the patient may report "I saw a brown spider crawling up my arm before I noticed the rash." Insect or spider bites are just one cause of rashes. There are many causes. This is the why a dermatologist is such a valuable person when it comes to diagnosing and treating skin conditions.
   The above having been said, I am glad that your son's rash is responding to your remedy. We are thanking that your salve worked.

      I continued applying the salve for 48 hours, about every 4-6 hours.  Initially, the redness left, but blisters remained.  By yesterday (48 hour mark) they were almost completely gone. Today, they are.  Thank you!

   A contact irritant, sensitivity, or allergy is a possibility. My wife got this two weeks ago from carrying brush cut from a plant that has a harsh sap. Also, some food allergies cause hives that can come on the arms and go away.
   
   The key is: If it doesn't happen again, no worries. If it does, try to figure out what he handled or ate within 2 hours before it appeared.

   Eczema and allergies are usually itchy. I get both of them and have since I was a kid. The best thing I have found is to use soap and water to clean the areas and then dry it off well by patting it dry - don't scrub it or rub it. I like to use really hot water on the skin too, it takes away the itch for awhile and gets rid of whatever started the allergies. But, I wouldn't do that to a kid.
   
   If the outbreak doesn't go away or comes back get it checked out. There are other things which could cause a rash. Funny that it isn't itchy. Eczema usually comes from skin irritated by being wet or moist. Allergies are all about getting a rash from something which irritates your skin and likely makes you sneezy too.
   
   There is also poison ivy and poison oak but they tend to be itchy too. Shingles are blistery and not so itchy but they tend to be painful.

   it happens during summer seasons.But in my experiance it cuses some itching some times.It can also be becausee of vitamin problem or allergy.

   Sounds like impetigo; blisters, no itch, no fever.  It's not dangerous but highly contagious, and needs to be treated with antibiotics; more common in children than adults but adults can still get it.
