What is your quest on hubpages?
What have you come to do here in terms of writing, or what are your short and long term goals and objectives as a hubpages author, and content writer. (Write a book about it if you may, this is a sort of challenge question of sorts). Enjoy!
Ive always wanted to blog, mainly for secondary income but also to speak my mind. Im still new to it all, but Im learning so much about myself as i write, and Im learning about so many interesting people on hubpages, that it doesnt feel like work anymore, I almost feel guilty for spending so much time here, like Im playing.
I have always wanted to be a writer, in fact I always thought that one day I would write a book…. About what? - I don’t know. Between work and family, life is just too busy at the moment. Besides the fact that a little experience in writing would be beneficial to my long-term goal of writing a whole book! So for the present time, I will stick to my short-term goal of writing hubs and answering awesome questions!
I've got several goals.
First, I want to establish a presence online. I want to be able to point to my Hubs and say, "There, go read that." I want to teach, and I want to learn.
Second, I want to develop a portfolio of well-written articles that I can use as writing samples for future jobs. I'm currently stuck in a career I don't care much for, but without anything substantial it's hard to get into the types of jobs I would like to get.
Third, I want to earn enough passive income from HubPages that I can afford to take a pay cut to start into the type of career I would like.
The quick answer is to use up my spare time and to earn some extra income. However, the more time I spend on this site the more I love sharing my recipes and expertise on many different topics. I hope to continue my writing and learn all there is to know about Hub Pages.
In part, I am in the greater process of building an online presence, and Hubpages allows me to use a free-standing article format (rather than a blog). Whereas I do write articles for various web sites and publications, I prefer the creative freedom to post my own... and to be able to edit the articles once published, if new information surfaces.
Thanks to the trackers available to us, I also find that Hubpages is a really useful venue to test the effectiveness of various social media approaches to publicity. I can create a unique tracking ID and almost in REAL TIME will I be able to tell where hits come from... and not.
If there is a "quest," I suppose it is to build a large enough article base to possibly assemble them into book format.

Are you "branded" as a Hub Pages writer? If so, what is your brand, and how is it helpful to you? While I believe it is helpful for Hubbers to have an identifiable "brand image," I know it is not something that's easily accomplished. We all have many interests, so our brand must...
