If you deny someone's comment on hubpages, do they know about it?
Basically I just got scolded by a guy because my definition of meditation doesn't agree with his very extreme viewpoint on it. If I deny his comment and move on, he won't know about it will he?
I don't think he will know that you deleted it. He might come back and notice you didn't approve it, but that sometimes occurs when people stop using hubpages for a while and comments pile up. So basically, he won't know that you deleted it, but who cares? it's your hub, you get to decide what comments are allowed and which to remove - that's the great thing about it! So delete it if you don't like it.
I am not, by the way, saying you should always delete comments you disagree with - a little discussion is always good.
Thanks very much! Mostly I have no problem with it, it's just this particular one.
I should also tell you that if you deny it and he harasses you in any way, you can go to HubPages staff and they will take care of him. There is no reason for anyone to put up with harassment.
If he bothers to check, he'll know his comment never showed up. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's your hub, you can do as you please.

How often do you Deny comments from another HP member? If you do deny them is it because of profanity/insults, you don't like what they say because it goes against your hub, you are suppressing commentary, or another reason.

Do you accept or deny comments that leave a link to someone's website?I don't mind people leaving a link to one of their hubs but I don't know about people leaving a link to their own website.

Sadly, from the time I have joined HP. I have seen a man who is continuously spreading fake news through his so-called good articles. I have ignored his articles a lot of times. but seeing him targeting every now and then is not acceptable for me and I am sure it is not acceptable for all those...

I am curious how other hubers deal with comments made by others on their hubs. I don't want to censor people or delete comments I disagree with, but at the same time I'd like to promote healthy discussion on my guides and not spread poor information around.I wrote a guide on how to set up IRC...
