   aww @Mine is the first kiss ... I was going to say the fun in getting to know eachother for the first time... lol... but now that I come to think of it... yeah, the first kiss.

   Yikes, I really don't like any part of it.  Being new to the scene again after a long marriage that didn't work, it's all so surreal.  Hating it actually.  I just hope I don't start buying cats.

   To be honest, I think "dating", in most cases, is a complete waste of time. Once I was  married, I remember thinking how glad I was that I didn't have to date anymore. I just have little desire to jump back into the dating pool again.
   
   In my experience, there just are too many pretenders out there, and finding a heart that is true is remote. So, what is the point?

      Well the truth be said, I'm still in a "relationship" for well over 20 years and counting, and I can honestly say that I would hate the notion of dating again.
      But  I still miss that first kiss:)

   Oddly enough I think it's sharing that first sincere laugh together. For me it seems once that happens it opens up things because it's like saying a part of us is mentally on the same wavelength. "Lets see where this goes." I don't believe I have ever kissed or had sex with anyone without having shared a warm smile and a laugh.
   By contrast if the date shows no signs of smiles or laughter I generally take it as a sign that there is no chemistry. Dating is a fun exploratory process. Those who enjoy it most are the ones who are excited by "newness" and  intrigued by the unknown. Those that detest it want to skip over the getting to (know you) process and simply be "at home" in the relationship. They don't want to have to learn each other likes or dislikes, act as though they are in a good mood when they really are not. These people see dating as an "interview" process and not as having fun.    I love getting to know someone over a romantic dinner.  Both dressed up, and a little excited to learn about the other person, all new, and interesting and it thrills me!
